What is the secret? How do the wealthy do it? I’m sure you, like me, have tried numerous ways of making money – but to no avail. After much research and actual success myself, I have discovered 8 behaviours of the wealthy mindset – that if followed, will give you success in whatever you put your mind to! Follow these and you will be a successful entrepreneur in no time!

REPLICATE YOUR ENTREPRENEURIAL HERO- Either find a local entrepreneur that you look up to, or even an international highly successful one like Richard Branson or Oprah Winfrey. Start to study them, not just their actions but their mindset as well. Read their Biographies, ask yourself – what do I believe their values and beliefs would be? What would their daily activities involve? If you can, organise with your local successful entrepreneur and ask them if you could have a coffee with them to learn from them. You will be surprised, most successful ones will be happy to share their success.

ENVISION – Scientists have proven that visualising can increase your chance of success. The more often you visualise, the more the subconscious mind believes that it has happened, and therefore starts looking for ways to make sure it behaves in a similar way. Do this regularly and you will “train” your mind for success. Sit in a quiet spot, visualise your most successful day as an entrepreneur. Take notice of what you are doing in this picture, what you say to yourself, what others say, how you feel, how you stand / walk, and any other significant points.

GOALS -All successful entrepreneurs have goals, and they write them down. Have Long term goals and short term goals. It is a great idea to have a goal notebook. If you haven’t done it before, start off with small daily or weekly goals. Like – I have achieved 20 marketing calls this week. Once you start achieving quite a few, then stretch yourself. When writing goals – don’t worry about the HOW, just put your goals out there and get on with your daily activities. You will be amazed how clever your unconscious mind is at finding ways to make what is possible.

INCOME PRODUCING ACTIVITIES – Although obvious, this is actually an important one to state. I mean, how many of you (and let’s be honest) have gone to do some money making work, but become side tracked with organising “important” things, or creating new systems, or having lunch – when you should have been doing marketing calls? Write a list of the actual core activities that brings in money to your business. Once you have recognised what these are – make sure you are doing at least one of these a day!

BELIEVE – Believe and expect that you will be successful. Expectation is a powerful tool when it comes to the law of attraction. How many times have you expected (to the core of your belief) something to happen, and it did – or vice versa. Expect your success and it will happen!

GRATITUDE – Yes, I am talking about the “Attitude of Gratitude”. The more you focus on the positives of the situation – the more you will notice. And this works vice versa. For example – stop for a second. I want you to look around the room you are in right now and focus on every object that is blue – that’s it, start listing them all in your head. Ok, now what I want you to do – and do this as soon as you finish reading this sentence – is close your eyes and list all the things that are brown – close your eyes now. How did you go? Hard isn’t it? That is because your mind was so focused on the blue it didn’t notice the brown. Focus on what you are grateful for and that is all you will notice.

IMMERSE IN SELF-DEVELOPMENT – The true successful entrepreneurs are ALWAYS learning, always evolving. The more you grow inside, the more you will grow in business, finances and so on. Plug yourself into self-development courses regularly to learn.

DEVOTION – Committing to your goals and to your success will be the key to everything. As long as you devote yourself and commit, it won’t matter what obstacles may appear on your journey, because you are determined and are willing to persevere, success will be inevitable.

We all complain about being short of time and every day there are 1001 things we want to get done and invariably we never get everything done. There is a limit to the time we have available and a limit to how much we can get done in that time but time management helps us make the most of the time we do have.

Few of us have more time than we have things to do. Some tasks we have to put off till tomorrow or another time but some tasks are time critical and have to be done today. Students live in a time critical world. Papers have to be done on time and incomplete work or work handed in late is never going to endear you to those who matter.

For students time management is a crucial skill to be learned and understood. There are so many distractions in student life that it is easy to forget all about the work until it is getting to be too late to complete it in time. Planning is crucial and setting a time period to complete the work in is vital to avoid being overwhelmed with the task.

With a plan of work you should have allowed a reasonable time to complete any part of that work and have the finsihed material ready to be delivered on time with the knowledge that you have done a decent job of it. Without a plan you may well end up rushing to complete the work when your friends are finished and relaxing.

Time management for students enables them to enjoy free time happy in the knowledge that they are on schedule and will get finished on time. Without a plan there is always doubt and concern about the eventual outcome of the work you are doing. A proper schedule allows you to have a little leeway and adapt so you can spend more time on certain parts of your work if you need to allocate more time to it.

Scheduling of work is not a simple task or one to be treated lightly. Each task needs to be allocated an appropriate period of time for completion. If you are unsure about how much time is needed then you will have to make an estimate. It is better to allow some more time than you think it might need just to be on the safe side.

Google PPC allows you to write many ads and that rotate and Google tracks the views vs the clicks this is known as the click through rate. Then you know what ads are working and which are not. Then you delete the bad ones and keep trying to improve. Since January of 2005 I have spent $51K advertising with Google and I have definitely had the best ROI from my website marketing efforts. As far as small business marketing goes the internet is here to stay. In fact Google is one of my favorite companies because I have spent this money and have never even talked to anyone who works for Google. I do get a Christmas card from them each year. Identity theft is the most rapidly growing crime in the United States. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) estimates that around nine million Americans will have their identity stolen per year.
