Lowering the Time Spent in Six Sigma Project Cycle
Improving business processes is the desire for using Six Sigma methods. It is often a source of complaints when a process takes longer then first thought to. With sufficient communication about the Six Sigma initiative about a specific area, these scope extenders can be properly sustained.
After starting the project, be sure to keep the front line team members involved, and that their efforts are displaying results. To keep up team morale, seize any opportunity for a quick win. This will convince any members of the team of the importance of the project.
If the process owners and other members are involved in implementing the project with a proper understanding of the solution, metrics, checklist and other parts of the project, it ensures that the project gets implemented quickly. It is very important that the belts plan the project and carry out analysis. However, when front line staff is involved in the implementation, it proves to be beneficial in speeding up the project and earning the benefits that have been predicted.
