A more rigid and stubborn setting that can resolve this particular issue is known as a rain diverting device. A rain diverting apparatus is installed adjacent to the area which is prone to easy collapse under water force. It collects the water and dispose it off via a small channel. The length of the channel is directly proportional to the size of the weak area or spot on the roof.
Instead of availing the services of a professional roofer, you can yourself take up the installation task. Eventually, a lot of money and time can be saved if proper logic is applied during the course of the action. Such an installation doesn’t necessarily call for the services of an expert and can be handled by a novice as well.

Ground an extension ladder firmly and climb up to the roof. Observe the areas of the roof that often create problems during a heavy or moderate rainfall. A probe tool can be employed to serve the required purpose for you. Locate the row of the shingles that lie second to the affected area. Employ a pry bar tool to pull up the shingle a bit and slip the base of the rain diverting device under the shingle. Restore the position of the shingle such that the shingle lays flat on the base of the device.
Nail the back of the diverting apparatus to the point where shingles are attached. Apply some roofing cement over the nail setup and finish off the installation job.
If however you fail to carry out the task and instead, being caught in a complication then avail the guidance of an expert roofer.
