Log Cabin Days Arts and Crafts Fair at Tennessee

For the past three years there has always been a Log Cabin Days Arts & Crafts Fair. This years Log Cabin Days Arts & Crafts Fair will be on May 23 and May 24, 2009. The restored historic log cabins on the major highways will be the location of the festival. The exact address is U.S. 127-McBay’s Log Cabin Village, 108 Cabin Lane, Pikeville, TN 37367.

This is a street festival without any covers provided and a non-juried craft show. There will be fine craft and arts displayed by professional craft makers. There will also be Master Gardeners that will showcase their designs and flowers. Adults will enjoy the corn bag, marble and horseshoe competition. Children will not be left out they will have their own arts activity. There will also be a Costume contest that visitors are welcome to join.

This years festival has been moved to the fourth weekend of May not like it was on the previous years. The vendors will be allowed to set up their booths on May 22 from 12:00 noon onwards. The festival will officially open on May 23 from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. then on May 24 from 11:00 A.M. and officially closes by 5:00 P.M.

The festival will be a free admission and provide for free parking. Behind the table set up is where the designated for vendor parking area. For RV parking it will be allowed at the vendors parking area. Restrooms will be provided for at the 6 portable outdoor units around the festival.

For the past few years that the festival has been held it has grown bigger and better. There were 5,000 visitors based on last years estimated gate count. The promoters for this year are expecting to have about the same amount of visitors.

The promoters will be providing the electricity and water for the vendors with an additional charge of $10.00 that will cover both days. Tables and chairs are not provided by the promoters so vendors will need to provide for their own table and chairs. The promoters are looking for 100 vendors to display their unique work of arts at the festival.
