HOW A PLASMA TV WORKS?
Plasma TVs are made up of a combo of Xenon and Neon gas which is called plasma gas. The television has very small cells or pixels all across the screen and this is where the gas is located. The many sub pixels and the insides of the many other pixels are coated with phosphor. Each pixel is divided into 3 sub-pixels which represents a primary color. The pixels are then arranged within 2 glass panes.
An electrode is connected to each plate; these electrodes run the entire length of the glass plates, which forms a grid on both plates. The electrodes are connected to a computer that emits a current to the electrode on the corresponding position on the grid to charge the gases in the pixels. This would cause the gases to ionize, which would ultimately cause the gases to produce an ultraviolet ray.
This ultraviolet ray then causes the pixels coated in phosphor to glow in the correct color hue. When the numerous pixels get lit in unison, they help create an image that is clear and smooth on the screen.
