Finding Online Affiliates and JV’s For an Offline Industry
Not long ago I was asked if I had any suggestions how to find online affiliates and JV partners for an offline business. Since many people will benefit from knowing the answer to this question, I decided to write the response in the form of an article, so that everybody can read it.
The challenge with offline customers is how to make them go online. This is not difficult and it is a great opportunity for an offline marketer to use offline means to offline customers and bring them online.
The task to bring offline customers online is a chance for you. You can offer your potential partner to set up an online campaign and educate the customers. Your partner’s task will be to provide some assistance – i.e. be a guest on your campaign and provide some tips.
Your partners will benefit because you will set up an affiliate campaign and they will receive cash for the traffic they send your way.
Another cute idea for a partnership is to get a list of their offline customers and start a mail campaign (of course, you will pay for the campaign). You will be targeting offline customers, who are easy to bring online via your partner’s affiliate links. You can drive them online for a teleseminar or something like that.
That is a really successful way that we have utilized in the past because most joint ventures do not come to the partner with a proposal that really makes it attractive and a win-win. If you do that, you are saying, “Look, I’m willing to pay for the cost to market to your list so it cost you nothing and we’ll drive everybody through your affiliate link so that anybody who does register you are going to gain momentarily.”
So now there is no cost plus they gained financially and you win as well because now you are being able to collect names and emails of people who are interested from their particular list.
It will help them to see that there is an online opportunity and that would work well for you down the road if they are interested in setting up any type of an affiliate arrangement.
