Dan Kennedy Info Marketing Secret:Hang Out with Successful People

by Neeraj Varma

Working with successful people is what it takes to be successful, according to Davin Ogden. The real key to doing well in anything is to be networking. “If you can really get to know some of these people, their influence rubs off on you a lot.”

Rob Toth is interviewing the top information marketers as part of Dan Kennedy’s Info Riches course. Davin is one of the experts in that list. The series of interviews is called “Future Of Information Marketing”.

As his first dive into information marketing Davin joined a mentorship program. That proved to be a very good decision because he became successful very quickly. After having such a good experience the first time he joined another mentor. His second experience proved to be very profitable also.

The secret of making products that sell is to “solve problems for people” according to Davin. Davin says “there are thousands of untapped niches”. “You need to hone in and target the niches”.

Once you have found a niche you want to work in start networking and doing joint ventures.

According to Davin “getting to know these (successful) people is not really tough”. “It’s not as difficult as people think.” If you can do one joint venture or make one friend, that could be the difference between being successful or not.

It may seem like an impossible situation but “a lot of these people are just as personal, they’re just the same as anybody else and I know a lot of people getting started are really intimidated in trying to get close to some of these people but… you know there’s a lot of really nice marketers out there that are willing to take you on and point you in the right direction and drive you a little bit further toward your goal.”

“People just get their feet wet a little bit and they are just on the threshold of cutting through and get some success for themselves.” Then they just seem to wander off and start doing something else or give up altogether. If they had someone successful as a friend or partner they probably wouldn’t get into that situation.

“It’s really sad to see people doing that. That’s what I see happening a lot” says Davin. “I don’t think people give themselves enough of a chance sometimes and it is really tough to start because there’s a lot to learn.” It’s all achieveable if they would just start off in the right direction and keep going.
