Security of employment. At one time, running a home based business would not have made you enough to fire the boss, but times have changed. You can now make as much money working from home as from a regular job – in fact generally a lot more! This offers you the financial security of making a good living without the worry of redundancy or enforced retirement.
Financial security. You can decide how much money you want to make, and it is not easy to increase that with a regular job when you have unexpected expenditure to make. With a home based business you can add another stream of income to increase your earnings at will, and should never have serious financial problems ever again.
People have their own reasons for starting up their home based business, and there are lots of them, although they generally fit into one or other of the above general categories. Make sure, however, that you are successful with your home business before giving up the day job, because the majority fail and you don’t want left high and dry with a failed business and no job.
