Using the Internet to save yourself money during an economic slow

There is so much gloomy news these days about the financial meltdown and recession, just what can you do to survive the credit crunch?

The Internet is your best friend during times like these. Luckily, there are a myriad of differentways you can use it to save money and have some fun at the same time.

Here’s my five top ways to use the Internet to beat the credit crunch:

1) Shop online and save fuel. With fuel prices so high, anything you can do to reduce car usage will save you money. The beauty is that jsut about anything you would normally purchase from a shop can be bought online -and usually cheaper than in your local stores. If you insist on seeing what you’re buying, then you can at least use the Web to find the best prices, saving you money and extra mileage between stores.

2) Find yourself bargains online. Use auction sites such as Ebay and classified sites such as Craigslist, Gumtree (and any local ones) to find bargains – regardless of whether you are buying new or secondhand. If you have a bit more time on your hands, search the lesser used auction sites too, as they can often have good bargains.
