How do you differ from a “headhunter” firm?
We are a hybrid firm, in some ways similar to and in some ways different from traditional executive search firms and employment agencies. The most important fact for you to know is that we offer many of the same services on an “ala carte” basis which allows us to charge considerably lower fees than these firms, thus saving you money without sacrificing quality.
When should I start looking for a job?
For students seeking employment with large companies and government agencies that recruit on-campus, fall quarter is the best time to begin your search by participating in the Campus Interview Program. Keep in mind less than 25% of our students get jobs through this program. Many smaller firms or high demand industries will advertise through the Internet or through their professional networks closer to when they need to fill the position.We help candidates consider their present situation, develop a plan to find new employment, and help them to implement the plan. We work with candidates to decide what to tell family and friends, write a resume, identify, and manage references, approach companies, interview, and more. We make every effort to concentrate on those issues most important to the individual. Our role is to help candidates find a job; we do not find one for them.ITNC is focused exclusively on Information Technology.
What are your fees?
Our fees are consistent with other professional firms focusing on the executive search industry. Typically, fees approximate 1/3 of the cash compensation that the successful candidate can reasonably expect to receive during their first year of employment.
