Web Design Graphics – Use Them To Get More Conversions
Many people ask me “Just how important is web design graphics when it comes to Internet marketing?”, and here’s my answer:
Basically, I know of 2 groups of thought regarding graphic elements, and they are:
1. Web graphics design has little or no measurable effect on sales or conversions.
2. The second group thinks web graphics are very important, since they create that first impression when a new visitors arrives.
Which group is right?
Well, I think the second group has got it right. Let me explain why…
Getting visitors to do what you want – subscribe or buy, is what we want, right? We want visitors to stay longer, visit more pages, and do something to help you earn a living. That’s why we do this web publishing, after all.
Now, if you go on a job interview, or meet someone new, what happens? If you said “instant first impression” – you are right!
Well, that’s what happens when a new person comes to your site. Now, that first impression may be wrong, but it doesn’t matter, because if they think it’s wrong, they are gone.
Anyways, do you think web design graphics have anything to do with first impressions? You can bet your last dollar on that, because they are proven to be the biggest factor in forming the first impression.
Try putting up a boring unattractive site, and see what happens. Everyone will think “another useless website” and leave. You will lose people before they ever discover the amazing content you are sharing.
Use some well matched web graphics on your site that grab attention, and you will see how it affects your sales, stats and conversions.
Recall some of the websites you added to your bookmarks when you first visited. Recall how they got your attention and made you read on and interact with the site. That first impression is created by the visuals – the pictures, and if you have professional images that match your message, you can really boost the results you get.
It’s a key way to get that instant differentiation that makes you stand out to everyone, and luckily, you can get some pretty amazing marketing graphics for next to nothing out there.
