Where Can I Find Articles for My Website?
As a blogger or website publisher, you have probably heard about the importance of content. You need articles for your weekly ezine or newsletter, articles for your website or blog to keep it fresh, and even more content if you’re selling your own ebooks. Yikes! Now, before you break into a sweat, there are ways to get all of the content that you could possibly need — without sitting on your bottom for 12 hours each day, typing your little fingers off.
But, first, why is content so important? Here are a few reasons…
First, search engines, like Google.com love content. They value content more than anything so the more pages you have on your website or blog filled with quality content, the better. Note: Quality content is valued. Junk content is penalized. So, stick to quality over quantity.
Second, information adds value to your website visitors. They search the internet and come to your website to find information. If you offer great info, they’re more likely to tell a friend about your site, link to you from their site, and digg it.
Third, providing quality content establishes you as an expert in whatever your chosen field is. The more value you provide to readers, the more they begin to look at you as their information source. You’ll start receiving requests for interview and joint ventures as your arsenal of information grows. You’re reading my article right now, right? Hopefully you’ll remember me as an expert in content.
Where do you find articles for your website or blog? You have many choices, and each has its benefits and drawbacks.
1. Write the content yourself. This is a wonderful option for some of your content. You can choose to write some of it yourself. However, there are options below that will enable you to attract quality content to your website without having to write all of it yourself. (Some you can just edit and use.) Using a mixture of the options will provide you with more flexibility to grow without feeling trapped to your PC all day.
2. Get a Great Writer. A ghostwriter is a freelancer who writes for you but you take the credit. There are many sites on the web where you can find frelancers. Start by searching google.com, or go to sites like elance.com or shelancers.com to look around. Most biographies are written by ghostwriters. Almost every politician on the planet uses a speech writer. When time is short, get a ghostwriter to give your project a quick boost.
3. Team up with others. Find other online business owners looking for exposure and recruit them as featured columnists or guest bloggers. They’ll be glad to do it for the exposure and you’ll benefit by having more content for your site. This is a great way to add value to your ezine, as well.
4. Hit the Article Directories. Places like EzineArticles.com, Isnare.com and FreeAffiliateArticles.com are packed with quality articles that you can reprint on your site, as long as you remember to include the author bio at the end. For instance, look at the bottom of this article — it’s free and you can publish it on your website as long as you include that blurb.
5. Load up with Private Label Rights (PLR) . PLR content was created to fill a need that we, as online entrepreneurs have — the ongoing need for quality content. When you purchase PLR articles, you have nearly 100% freedom to use them. You can edit the articles, modify them for your market, create viral reports from them, or even use them to write your first book. The problem is finding quality PLR articles. There is a lot of junk out there. In order to choose a quality service, be sure to find one that has been around for awhile (not some fly-by-night site). Also, check that the articles have been professionally written and edited. Were the articles created specifically for that site or are they recycled from other PLR sites? Once you find a great PLR service, you’ll wish that you started sooner.
Now that you know how to find content for your website, I hope that you will take advantage of these resources and build your internet business to new heights.
