Advice About Working From Home
Do you want to work from home? Make sure you read others’ reviews of the business you want to work for before you start working, to determine if the offer is legitimate. There are many scams to look out for! Usually companies do not require fees to work from home, except those like LiveOps and BabytoBe, which have fees for background checks. The background check company receives the fee payments, however. Some companies require a fee to get started.
One place to look for information on commpanies is the Better Business Bureau. It contains information on many difference businesses and charities – both those that are registered and those that are not registered with the Better Business Bureau. You can find contact information for your local Better Business Bureau, so you can contact them about local businesses, or you can go to the USA’s or Canada’s site to search for information. To search, you need the business name at a minimum, and maybe also the city and state where the business is located.
If the BBB doesn’t have the business, try searching on Google. Type the business name into Google. Knowing how to spell it is helpful, but sometimes the name will appear even if the correct spelling is not entered. For example, typing MaryKay will pull up Mary Kay Cosmetics.
You can also find information for business opportunities on message boards. You can often register and post on a message board to get a response regarding information on the business opportunity or company you’re interested in. One message board is \”Work from Home Mafia.\” This board has information on different working from home companies and opportunities, and you may find that your question has already been answered. Work from Home Mafia also has podcasts on different working fro home subjects that you can listen to on the website, download them, or put them on your MP3 player.
Another board is Workplace Like Home. It has forums on many of the same companies WFHM does, as well as more business information that WFHM has, like information on Steward Response Group and Ecallogy. Workplace Like Home does not have podcasts.
Ask people you know who have worked from home for advice. Sometimes you may not know anyone who has worked from home, however. I worked at West Telemarketing and did find that it was legitimate and it led to other good working from home jobs, so I found through contacts I have made.
Don’t start working frome home until you’ve read others reviews the company you want to work for on the previously mentioned sites. These sites have a lot of valuable information for people who potentially wantt to work from home, not to mention they’re a great place to network! Networking, after all, is critical whether you work from home or out of the home.
I can’t say it enough – don’t start working from home until you’ve read others’ reviews of the company you want to work from home for, or the business you want to get involved with. Working from home or having your own homebased business can be very rewarding – people I know that have been working from home have been able to spend more time with their families and children, not to mention save gas and wear and tear on their vehicles. This is especially critical considering the price of gas lately!! Working from home has been rewarding for me not because I’ve saved on gas, but I’ve saved on cab and bus fare because I don’t drive due to the fact that I have epilepsy. I’ve been working from home for about 5 years now, and I do not want to go back to working out of the home if I can avoid it! I’ve had many positive experiences working from home, however it does require being careful about the companies you apply with, or the online homebased business opportunity you’re interested in pursuing. I hope this article has helped other potential online home based business opportunity seekers, or those that just want to work from home like I do!
