Whenever I receive a love letter or love poem, I am flattered my lover took the time out to write it. I am most touched by the ones that are well thought out and from my lovers heart. When you write a love note, make sure you personalize it as much as possible, to let your lover know you are speaking directly to him or her.
Originality is key to touching your lovers heart. Express yourself and let them know, the words are coming from your heart. If you are not particularly poetic, it’s okay to start with something pre-printed and change the words to meet your needs.
There is all kinds of poetry on the internet… classics, funky, fun, humorous. Gather a few and take a few lines from each of them. Use a thesaurus, and change the words, to sound more like you and your Love situation. Keep trying, it is easier than it sounds.

Take your time and write out a verse that you think will be meaningful to your loved one. Practice first with a scrap piece of paper and then when you have it just perfect, carefully print or write it out in the inside of the card.
Leave Your Note where it will be found. It will be a nice surprise for your loved one to find your note, unexpected. Don’t hide it so well that he or she won’t find it! Leave it in a common place that you are sure he or she will go looking. When they find it they can enjoy it all alone.
When you sign your card, use a “Love Name” your Lover calls you. Set the stage for extraordinary closeness and communication later in the day, with this Love note.
Don’t wait for a special occasion. It does not have to be a birthday, Christmas, valentines or any other holiday. Give this card with a small gift inside when least expected. It will work wonders for your relationship.
