You Can Fix A Slow PC Startup

Do you need to fix slow pc startup problems? Have you noticed that your friend’s old Pentium II computer seems to run faster than your Pentium IV? A Pentium IV computer with a well maintained windows XP system will run fast even if it has only 128 MB of Ram memory, and have a smaller CPU. So if your computer is running or starting up slow you need to fix slow pc startup through the software, before you look at the hardware of your system.

If your computer is running slow then you are probably experiencing software problems. There are probably a ton of different little odd things going on with all of those 1 and 0’s that you don’t even know about.

Some of the things responsible for slow working of computer may be:

1. Low space in the hard disc or hard drive or hard drive getting old. 2. Not enough memory. 3. Virus in the computer. 4. Many junk files present in the computer.

Probably the best way to find out the problem in your computer is to remove the easiest problem first and see if the computer becomes faster. You should do some first tasks and then observe what happens to the computer. 1. Delete the files that you do not want, the temporary files, and empty the recycle bin in the system tools under accessories. 2. Scan the disk. 3. Make partitions of the hard disc to remove any already fragmented regions. 4. Run the antivirus software program after an upgrade. 5. Get a registry utility software from the net. 6. Install and run the registry utility program and the program will fix the errors in the files.

The whole process would take about 20 minutes to be done. Restart the computer after doing everything. If even this does not solve the problem, then try to find out other problem riser in the computer.

Just check with the antivirus system of your computer. It may be causing the problem I it is out of date or non compatible with the computer. It may be fixed by either installing some other antivirus program or upgrading it. Run it once in a while in the computer to make sure that there are no virus infected files in the computer.

Still, if the problem continues, then the hard disc may be at fault. Is there any type of sound produced by the computer? One symptom of an old hard disc is the clicking sound made either frequently or infrequently. There also may be the appearance of blue screen of death which causes the same problem. You may scan the hard disc by a scanner to check the problem. There may be the need of adding additional RAM memory. Have a look at the system tools and system information to know the current RAM memory status of the computer. A computer in which Windows XP is installed should run at a minimum 256 MB of RAM.

As you can see there are several things you can do to fix slow pc startup. It’s just a matter of taking the time to do it.
