Let you’re dog know how happy and proud your are. Positive verbal affirmations are good for dogs, as they are for humans. Remember, telling your dog how proud you are is free. All you have to do is put in the effort when using praise.

Use Corrections with Thought

Do you remember your parents correcting your or telling you what to do. It might of been because you made your bedroom dirty or because you didn’t eat all of your dinner. While those might be memories, they should also be used to remind you of what not to do.

I’m sure that you don’t enjoy being “told” what to do. In many cases, people don’t like people to yell at them and give them angry facial expressions. Unfortunately, those experiences are common habits that people do when taking care of their dogs. So if you try to correct your dog’s behavior, think of how you would treat your own child.

Treat Your Dog Like a Member of Your Family

Treat your dog with respect. This is something that a lot of dog owners fail at. If you really want to train your dog with ease, you must convey how much you care about your dog. This includes not treating your dog like an animal with a leash. Your dog is an emotional animal that interprets what you communicate. So do it well.

So how do you align with your dog? Allow your dog to be part of your activities. Treat your dog like another member of the family. Once you allow your dog to be part of your life, your dog will treat you and respect you more as your relationship builds.
