The Low Hanging Fruit- Go After It! An Underused Piece Of Advice
I had all the right components in place. I had built up a decent sized list, people were reading my newsletter, but my online business was struggling. I couldn’t seem to make a sale.
Then I figured out why – I was trying to sell products like Ideas 4 Halloween (an eBook on great Halloween ideas) to my list of information marketers. If my list was interested in Halloween information the product would have sold, but they weren’t.
That’s when my good friend, Alex Mandossian, gave me a great piece of advice.
This is how our conversation went…
I was talking to him about the struggle that I was having up to that point of getting my ideas from concept to cash. That’s the essence of what we’re all trying to do. The faster you do that, the more products you get up, and the more momentum you build.
Actually, I just wrote about this in my recent newsletter because if used correctly momemtum can be a very powerful thing in your business.
Alex Mandossian is a perfect example of how successful your business can be once you get the momentum built up. Alex is doing extrememly well in the information marketing industry because he has mastered converting his ideas from concept to cash. He can’t help but be successful when he has so much momentum behind him.
Alex told me, when I was talking to him about my struggle to get my ideas from concept to cash, he said, “Stu, stop what you’re doing right now. Go after the low hanging fruit.”
Low hanging fruit – Write that down.
To know what your low hanging fruit is, sometimes it will take an outside perspective. That’s why likeminded support groups are of such value because they can shed the light on many things you may not see.
What I was trying to do – I had a big, hairy project, and I’m still working on it right now. I mean it’s a big, idea. It’s a big, audacious product. But the problem is because it’s so big, it takes the most amount of my time, the most amount of my effort, the most amount of my financial resources, and it’s draining me mentally, physically, and financially.
Because of it, I’m getting frustrated, I’m getting irritated, and I’m not making progress.
“Go after your low hanging fruit” is what Alex continued to tell me.
He showed me and he taught me what my low hanging fruit was, and as soon as I went after it I generated revenue of over $111,000 in an eight-week period.
What was that piece of low hanging fruit?
My very own seminar, the “Idea Incubator!” It is here where we teach the attendees how to turn their ideas from concept to cash as quickly as possible.
The content I was teaching at my seminar was the same material I had been teaching for over a year at John Childer’s training. People kept asking me, “When are you going to put on my own event?” I had been able to build up a customer base because they saw value in the content.
The moment I offered what people were asking for the results were amazing! My own event was my piece of low hanging fruit.
What is your low hanging fruit? Stop for a moment and think about what it would be. Are your costumers constantly asking your for a product or service? Is there something you are really good at?
You definitely have pieces of low hanging fruit that you have been overlooking. I would place a bet on it!
Take my advice, I’ve learnt from my mistakes – Find your low hanging fruit and you’ll be able to go from concept to cash much more quickly!
When they are needed the most, may ideas come to you.
