Your website is going to be a vital piece of advertising for your bed & breakfast. When people plan to travel to your area, they will likely use a search engine. If you have a quality website you will find your information has a good ranking. Most people won’t search past the first page so strive for a very good placement.

Your site has to be well developed so that when they find your link they will like what they see. Too many people only focus on getting people to their bed & breakfast site. Yet you need to be able to be able keep them on your site. Most people will decide this right away. If they don’t find your site attractive they will go back to the search engine and take other links.

If you aren’t able to commit the time necessary to operating a quality website, you are going to need to hire someone to take care of it for you. This can be with a professional agency or even a freelance organization. Take the time to evaluate your options so that you can make a good decision in this area.

You will be surprised how many bed & breakfast businesses don’t offer pictures on their website. This is a huge mistake that you don’t want to make. Lots of pictures that cover the inside and the outside of the bed & breakfast are important. Guests are more likely to commit to the reservation if they feel confident they will like it when they arrive.

Pictures of just rooms and the outside of it though can be boring and vague. Try to add some pictures with real guests in them. They can be eating, relaxing on the porch, being shown their room, or departing with a smile on their face. Most people will be delighted if you ask them to be a part of the pictures for your website.

In addition to all the information about your bed & breakfast, tell them what else they may have questions about. Transportation is a big concern so let them know the options for getting to and from your business. Let them know what attractions are out there and how far away. If there will be special events coming up make sure you add them to your website as well. Don’t forget to talk about how your business got started as many people will be interested in this.

Should you post the cost of your bed & breakfast online? This is a debated issue but most consumers will tell you they prefer it. This way they can immediately find out if they are able to afford it or not. Some people don’t want to take the time to call and find out this information. Remember that this option is going to take up your time with many phone calls as well.

People want to know what others think about your bed & breakfast as well. While they can find reviews online, you should offer some information online. If you have gotten cards or letters from happy guests, ask them if you can post that information on your website. This can further help some one to make up their mind to stay at your bed & breakfast.
