Seven Tips to Help You Choose the Right Network Marketing Company
Direct Selling opportunities are everywhere these days. With all the options out there, it can be overwhelming to decide which MLM would be a worthy investment of your time, talent and credibility.
Here are some guidelines to help keep you on the right track as you search for the work-at-home opportunity that suits you:
1. Look at the Products
Is this something you can see yourself selling? Is this something you can see yourself buying? Is it high quality? Is it innovative? Is it consumable? Toys and home decor are fun, but it is a good idea to get involved with an MLM that offers some products that consumers will need to reorder regularly. 2. Look at the Cost
Network marketers can find it difficult to see a product if their prospective customers know that another company is selling the same thing cheaper. Also, consider the kind of people you are going to be marketing this to. Will the prices seem to steep for the demographic you will be marketing in?
The cost of enrollment is another important factor. High startup fees could hinder your attempts to recruit new distributors later on. While startup fees usually cover training materials and some sample products, they really shouldn’t be any higher than $100.
3. Look at the Company
What are the goals, what is the driving force behind the company? Is it committed to the success of its consultants, or only its managers? How quickly is it growing?
A great way to check ou the character of a company is to look at their dedication toward giving. Do they promote charities and donate time to community service? In today’s MLM, you have to give before you expect to get, or you’ll get labeled as a pushy, greedy salesperson, and prospects will run when they see you coming. This principle should begin in headquarters.
4. Look for Confidence
In an industry where there are so many worries about scams, fads and pyramid schemes, it is a good thing to choose a company that is a member of the Direct Selling Association or the Better Business Bureau. Alliances like that give customers and consultants confidence in the integrity of the company.
A company should have enough confidence to back its products 100%. If it can’t offer a money back guarantee, it shouldn’t be marketing the products.
5. Look at the Convenience
You don’t want to end up running yourself ragged and not feeling like you’ve made enough money to make up for your trouble. Will there be a large inventory that will take over your house? Is the paperwork complicated? How long will you have to wait for products after you order them. Distributors should be able to receive product withing 24 to 48 hours of ordering it from corporate. Will you or the company be making deliveries to customers?
What is the company’s marketing structure like, and can you live with it? Can you really do the home-party thing? Are the recruiting methods going to require you to do things you consider degrading or embarrassing? Will you be able to leverage the Internet to help you with sales and promotions?
6. Look for Support
Without the proper amount of training and mentoring, you will end up feeling inadequate and disouraged. Seek out an upline that is helpful and quick to answer your questions. Look for a company that is dedicated to helping consultants reach their personal goals.
7. Look for a Business You can Be Proud of
Choose a company with managment, policies and products you can agree with wholeheartedly. If you don’t, you won’t exude the enthusiasm you need to sell products and recruit new members. Don’t try to fit yourself into an opportunity that doesn’t match your personality. If you’re shy, you’re probably going to feel uncomfortable making presentations week after week, but Internet marketing could be the right technique for you. Go with whatever fuels your passion. You don’t have to be into makeup. You could sell nutrition supplements, or hey, what about energy? Everybody uses that!
