WoW Gold – Why You Should Not Buy It

by Ray Krost

Many people in World of Warcraft enjoy collecting vanity pets. These are the little pets that follow you around. They can be dragons, cats, frogs etc. If you’ve ever noticed any on the Auction House, you’ve probably noticed that they can cost over 100g. The reason for this is because they are a rare drop and the majority of them drop in Pre-Burning Crusade zones. Meaning they are farmed very little.

The biggest problem with buying gold for World of Warcraft is that you can get caught – and it doesn’t matter if you get caught during the transaction. Blizzard is constantly trying to weed out people who try to cheat at their game, and buying gold, according to Blizzard, is cheating. So, they do everything they can to stop the practice.

However, you should always keep in mind that the software is not always accurate. You should be aware of changes in World of Warcraft itself and the potential for substantial shifts in supply and demand. Don’t buy low just because you think you see a deal. Find out why the items are selling for so low (the game might have been updated, outdating those items).

Aside from the problem of getting your account closed, there is another problem with buying gold in Warcraft: the companies that sell gold are not the most reliable entities to exist. Consider this:

When you start working with the Auction House, create a character solely dedicated to using the Auction Houses. There are three of them and a lot of travel and storage that you probably don’t want to waste on your main character. With a dedicated Auction character, you can streamline your money making capabilities.

Captured Firefly – This pet is a tiny version of the firefly models that can be found in Zangarmarsh. The average price is 500 gold. This can be farmed in Zangarmarsh and only drops off of the Bogflare Needler.

If you do not receive the purchased gold you would have to dispute the charge on your credit card; but, this would mean that you have to prove the gold was never delivered, and that means getting Blizzard getting involved – which means you’re going to lose your account.

The gold selling industry is pretty big, but there’s a big reason why you should not buy World of Warcraft gold: it’s a shady business. Aside from the risk of losing your account, there’s the risk that you simply won’t receive any gold at all.
