Depending on the level of education the students have, you need to limit their exposure to television. The students have to be strictly guided, especially if they are still in preschool. Teachers have to prevent the kids to be exposed to negative influence before positive values are instilled in them. College students have more freedom, though.
You may also take advantage of DVD players. The said machine will allow the teachers to be selective with the shows played to the students. You can just pick those video shows that are totally relevant to the topic of the day. You will offer them learning according to what they should learn while they are studying in your class.
When the television is not enough to show everyone the video that the teacher wants to show to the class, using a projector is a given. This is so that the teacher can enlarge the image projected from the video projector. Since the image projected is larger than what the television can show, everyone can see it clearly.
You can use the computers as well. You can actually take advantage of the computers if you want the students to learn a lot. However, using the computer means that you need to strictly guide them more than what you do for them when they are watching televisions. Do not allow them to access the Internet yet too.
If you allow them access tot he Internet, better screen the online sites they can access. You need to make sure to block the sites that are not helpful to the students and in their progress for learning. If you want this to happen, then you just have to block some settings you can view for Internet browsing.
