When wireless mobile devices first came out, there were some real problems with the reliability of the connections that people experienced, particularly when devices that were made by different companies were attempting to “talk” to each other. To address this issue, the Wi Fi Alliance came to be and they were able to create industry standards that all manufacturers now adhere to, which have solved these problems. Because of these standards, people are now able to use any of the abundant Wi Fi hotspots around the country and around the globe, to easily access the internet wirelessly.

Wireless devices, from PDAs to super-fast laptops, are becoming more and more commonplace not only with business people, but for personal use as well. Wireless networks allow people to be able to easily share files between these different devices and can be of great convenience for simplifying communication, working collaboratively, and for doing business. But, for many people, having access to a Wi Fi networking wireless connection can be a fairly costly undertaking and can sometimes be an aggravating experience as well.

And, if your laptop is fairly new, then it no doubt is equipped with a wireless mobile capability. If that is the case, then as long as you can locate wireless network hotspots, you will always be able to stay connected to the net.
