How much capital you have – Some businesses (e.g. manufacturing) require relatively large amounts of capital to get started, to pay for such things as special equipment, raw materials, stock, transportation, operating licences, advertising, and so on. Others (e.g. window cleaning) require very little in the way of capital expenditure. Bear in mind, however, that even in a low cost business you will still need to have sufficient funds to cover your needs and those of your family while your business is becoming established.

Part L was introduced as part of the 2005 Building Regulations and it set a new standard with regards to energy efficiency. It called for all new boilers installed or replaced to meet the required standards for achieving high efficiency rating. A company – properly called a joint stock company – is where a group of individuals put their money together to make a ‘joint stock’ of capital. The people who put up the money are called shareholders. They all own a share of the company, and expect to receive a share of its profits. The shareholders are also called ‘members’ because they are part of the company, but the company is a legal entity quite separate from the members who own it. In law, a company is regarded as an individual in its own right. It can make a profit or a loss; it can be held responsible for the actions of its employees; it can be sued; and, if the worst comes to the worst, it can go bankrupt (though in the case of companies this is called ‘going into liquidation’).

Your child is your most precious asset and you would always wish that your baby receives the utmost care at all times. This is just what you expect the nanny to offer to your child too. The nanny or full time babysitter is the person who is entrusted with the task of taking care of your most loved belonging. Hence, you would perhaps like to make sure that the person is sincere about the responsibilities handed to her. It is for this purpose that you may consider in-home surveillance system (hidden spy cam) to be set up at your home for monitoring the activities of the nanny (child care provider or home care giver).
