A good lighting plan is very important for your home. It makes it look more attractive and if you want to sell your home, it will make your work much easier. So, one should have sufficient lighting in every area of the home because it looks good and more impressive to the people entering when lit brightly.<\/p>\n

It is very important to take care of both interior as well as exterior home lighting. With right fixtures and a good lighting plan for interiors as well as exterior areas of the home, it becomes easier for any one to sell his\/her property as every one is attracted to beautiful things.<\/p>\n

Make your home sparkle with bright exterior lighting. Dust off and clean the covers of outdoor light fixtures to let as much light shine through as possible. Also, add some low-wattage accent lights along your driveway or around your garden to show off your propertys best features.<\/p>\n

As we all know that first impression is the last impression. So, it is important to light the front entrance and hallway well. Try to have bright high-wattage lighting in these areas. Pot lights and recessed lights are a good option as these can also be used to draw special attention to special features like any art work or a painting.<\/p>\n

The kitchen is the most popular room in the home, so make sure yours shines. Put the spotlight on your kitchens best features with a mix of recessed lights in the ceiling, task lighting around work areas (i.e. hidden fluorescent lights over the stove and counter tops) and accent lights over your table.<\/p>\n

If a room or an area is well lit, it makes it look larger. So, try to have arrangements for natural light as well. Like, keep the window shades and curtains open during the day time and also make sure that the lighting is shadow free.<\/p>\n

Table lamps are a great lighting fixtures which can be used for several purposes. Using 40-60 watt bulbs with artistic shades can give a nice glow for reading or entertaining areas.<\/p>\n

A bathroom should also be well lit. Some areas like tub, shower, vanity mirrors should specially be illuminated well. Florescent bulbs area good option for bathrooms but ensure that their color rendering index is of 80 or more. This will enhance the wall colors and textures. You can also have a night light installed. It will add to nice warm glow and will also be beneficial from safety point of view.<\/p>\n
