With so many new users, we seem to be getting a good number of emails from people wondering if there is a way to copy Wii games. With this is mind, we decided to throw together a quick guide showing you how to do this.

Almost everyone with a computer has used their burner their burner before. “Ripping” music CDs is extremely common – there’s a good chance you have done this before. However, you can’t use the same software that you use to burn a music cd to make a copy of a video game.

Why is that?

Nintendo Wii games use a type of ‘copyright protection’ on them (as do all video games) which blocks your computer from being able to recognize or “make sense” of what is on the disc. Because your computer can’t read the disc, it isn’t able to know what it is supposed to be copying.

When there’s a problem, someone’s going to find a solution! That’s exactly what certain software companies have done – there are now programs that are able to “punch-out” the guards on video games. When you install this software, your computer is able to read the data that is on video game discs.

These game-copying programs aren’t only for Wii games. You can also use them to copy PS3, xbox 360 or any other video game that is on a disc.

We did put a link at the bottom of this article where you can find out how to get a free trial of this type of software.

The software is incredibly easy to use once you install it and get the hang of it. First you insert your Wii game into your CD/DVD drive and let your computer make an “image” of it. Afterwards you put in a blank disc and the image is copy identically onto the disc.

With this type of software it’s easy to copy Wii games whenever you get a new one. It’s always a nice option to have and it’s incredibly convenient since you get do right from your home computer. One warning though – it’s addictive!

About the Author:

Check out http://www.copyyourgames.com for a free trial of the highest rated Nintendo Wii game-copying program.
