It’s important to be aware of what to look for in a training provider. Once armed with this information you can do your research and MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE, as the quality of training materials varies hugely from company to company. <\/p>\n

Changes made by Microsoft every so often make it difficult for many traditional colleges to teach the latest versions, so their training can be out-of-date. Many also stick to the old format of manual-based instruction, with classroom visits and the occasional disc to back it up. <\/p>\n

Networking courses that require students to visit the college for several tutorial sessions will end up costing a lot more than just the course fee. Travelling expenses need to be added into the equation, along with money for hotel rooms for overnight stays. This could put another thousand pounds onto the price.<\/p>\n

Students on this style of networking course have to attend the college tutorials to fill in the gaps in the manual\/CD Rom training. But the company expenditure to support such a college is very high, hence course prices are often exorbitant! So much for bricks and mortar establishments! <\/p>\n

The alternative is a twenty four hour a day properly supported interactive course, that gets rid of the need for classroom visits.<\/p>\n

So what do we mean by proper support? For most students, training has to be fitted into an already busy work schedule. This means study time will usually be outside of office hours and trainees want to get stuck in with no hold-ups. <\/p>\n

It’s vital that students have access to support at the time that they need it – at the time when they’re actually studying. Anything less simply frustrates students, and results in a stop\/start study programme. <\/p>\n

This is where the majority of trainers let their students down. <\/p>\n

Typical ’round the clock support’ in reality means leaving messages if your query happens to be any later than early evening. A tutor will call you back when there’s time free between lessons, which inevitably means in office hours…<\/p>\n
