Many people in the corporate world know about Six Sigma’s results driven style of analysis, but few understand how Six Sigma certification can change their company. Six Sigma certification will teach your employees how to define and measure every process in your company, then use these results to implement a marked and measurable change. How does Six Sigma make this huge difference in a company? It all begins with a five step process known as DMAIC.<\/p>\n

1. Defining goals for business improvement. While most businesses start with a bona fide business plan, the truth<\/a> is that their goals are really not clearly defined. This crucial step is the foundation upon which the company is to be built. The Six Sigma certification process teaches people to identify the true goals of the company.<\/p>\n

2. Measure the current process in a numerical fashion. This includes identifying characteristics that are critical to quality (CTQs) as well as processes that are not as effective as they should be.<\/p>\n

3. Analyzing the data to determine strengths and weakness is important. When fixing problems, it is important to know the causes and the effects in order to move forward successfully. Minitab software used in Six Sigma certificaton is very effective in this process. Six Sigma certified employees can use Minitab to analyze a company’s processes.<\/p>\n

4. Improve and optimize your business processes based on the data you’ve measured and analyzed. This can begin on a small scale to measure effectiveness, then be applied to the entire corporation. Six Sigma certification will train your employees to look anew at processes with the intent of cutting waste and increasing efficiency.<\/p>\n

4. Control the process to make sure the eyes remain on the target. Deviations and deficiencies are corrected before they have a negative effect. Once processes are settled on, there’s no reason to change them. Six Sigma certification will train your employees to keep a close eye on results by continuing to measure and analyze processes. This will keep your company on track and running efficiently. Now as difficult as this all may sound, you can know that Six Sigma training and DMAIC is a stimulating process. It can be the key for positive change that you’ve long been looking for.<\/p>\n
