It’s really great that you have got this far! Only one in ten folks are happy and fulfilled in their work, but most of us just bitch about it and do nothing. By reading this we guess you’re considering action and plan to retrain, so you’ve already stood out of the crowd. Follow through and do something about it!<\/p>\n

Before we even think about individual training courses, find an expert who can help you sort out which area will be right for you. Someone who can get to know your personality, and find out what types of work suit you:<\/p>\n

* Is working with other people your thing? <\/p>\n

* If so, would that be a team or lots of new people? <\/p>\n

* Would you rather work alone with a task? <\/p>\n

* Do you need completion to get satisfaction or is keeping something running more your thing? <\/p>\n

* Building and Banking are a little shaky at the moment, so which industry would suit you best? <\/p>\n

* How many years do you want to get out of your adult retraining, and will the industry offer you the chance to do that? <\/p>\n

* Will this new qualification give you the oppotunity to find new work easily, and stay employable until sixty five?<\/p>\n

Adult Retraining… Make Sure You Know Before You Act!<\/p>\n

Spend some time thinking about how much you want to earn and how ambitious you are. This will influence which exams you will need and what industry will expect from you in return. Once you know this take advice on which qualifications are the ones industry is looking for. <\/p>\n

Seek out help from someone who understands the industry you wish to join, and is able to give you ‘A day in the life of’ understanding of what you actually will be doing on a day to day basis. It just makes sense to know if this change is right for you before you start on any adult retraining programme. There’s little point in starting to train and then discover you’re on the wrong course. <\/p>\n

We ask you to have a good look the IT industry – There are more jobs than people to do them, it’s one of the few choices of career where the industry is growing. IT isn’t all techie people staring at screens all day – of course some of the jobs are like that, but the majority are filled by ordinary people like you who are earning above average. <\/p>\n

There are lots of different job roles, which are well worth looking into. The biggest pull is that there is a massive skills shortage so there is choice and the ability to find work more easily. All in all IT is one of the best opportunities around today and for the future.<\/p>\n
