HHO generators make HHO gas by a process called electrolysis. HHO generators are filled with water and a catalyst such a baking soda and when added helps the process by producing hydroxy or better known as HHO gas. Electrolysis occurs when a current is passed over metal plates or wires usually made from stainless steel. The result is a gas that produces a lot of energy in the form of HHO gas. Maintenance usually requires adding a few ounces of water to the fuel cell and some catalyst about once a month or when needed.<\/p>\n

HHO gas kits produce a gas called hydroxy that should help with the process of combustion. Hydroxy is then introduced to the engine in the air intake before the manifold and this is where is is mixed. This is simple engine modification and leaves little trace should you lated unistall the kit when you decide to sell the vehicle. HHO gas has used in many applications for over 40 years including welding. HHO gas also known as hydroxy or Brown’s gas has been used experimentally and by entrepreneurs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you have been looking at fuel saving devices to help increase gas mileage and save you money then HHO gas devices may be something worth considering and these fuel cells do not take up much room under the hood of your car and truck and work on both gasoline and diesel engines and have several benefits the most impressive increasing gas mileage.<\/p>\n

Free HHO gas kit plans can be found on the internet but they sometimes miss a few important points. There is an old adage you get what you pay for. What may be missing is information to deal with an oxygen sensor. The sensor on the exahst determines if the air to fuel mixture is correct and will adjust as needed. With HHO gas there will be more oxygen exiting the exhaust so therefore more gasoline will be supplied to the air fuel mixture reducing mileage. This device helps avoid this situation so you will have the best mileage possible. Many free HHO gas kit plans do not include this information.<\/p>\n

It is amazing how many people are willing to spend 3 to 10 dollars for a a fuel additive that may increase gas mileage and remove carbon on the valves and help keep fuel injectors clean. It is recommended that they be added every 3000 miles or so. HHO gas by nature should keep carbon from building up. I should also help keep your combustion chambers cleaner along with fuel injectors. When you have less carbon buildup you engine runs cooler and is more fuel efficient.<\/p>\n

The major benefits of HHO gas is it not only increases efficiency but because of an efficiency increase reduces emissions. This should lead to less pollution. Because of increased engine efficiency you could see increased horse power and many even notice a quieter engine. When you research the technology the typical increase in mileage is about 15 to 40 percent. On some vehicles some are seeing upwards of 100 percent.<\/p>\n

HHO gas kits can be home made from decent plans. These kits can be made from parts if your thrifty enough for under 100 dollars. When you know how to build a HHO gas kit you can also replace parts as needed and duplicate the system. What you often do not get is the information to deal with the oxygen sensor and step by step instructions with pictures to install the HHO gas kits. The main benefit if installing a kit is to increase gas mileage.<\/p>\n

HHO gas kits may not be you best solution to increasing gas mileage. Some HHO gas kits can cost hundreds sometimes thousands installed. With the correct detailed plans and I stress this again for a point do not always give you all the information you need. You should be using plans that have detailed instructions and photos when you build HHO car kits.<\/p>\n
