Would you like to know how article writing can reward you, and what affiliate marketing is all about? First, let’s begin with an understanding about affiliate marketing.

Affiliate Marketing 101

Earning commissions for selling a company’s products and/or services is affiliate marketing, and article writing is certainly one of a number of ways to earn commissions and boosting your sales in short order. Let’s take a look at how it works.

You sign on for an affiliate network via internet. Choose a reliable affiliate network. Affiliate network is a platform where businesses seek affiliates. The merchants of a product will choose their publishers and pay them based on their performance.

This Is How To Make Your Article Sell.

Keep these points uppermost in your mind:

Write a content rich article along with a resource box

I’m sure you’re familiar with article writing tips, and you may already have a good deal of experience as a good writer. That’s great. So let’s move on to the issue of exactly what makes for a good resource box.

What function does the Resource Box serve?

The resource contains information about you, the author, and is usually at the end of your article. You want to make this a mandatory part of your article, because it’s an important marketing channel.

Be sure to include the following in your resource box.

Your name: This is the most important item. Include your name with your title as an option.

Your website address: Provide a valid URL, for example http://your name.com.

A catchy slogan: This is usually a 2 or 3 sentence brief about you, and whatever it is your attempting to sell. Think of it as being a classified ad, where you tell people about your USP (Unique Selling Proposition), and what separates you (or your product) from the competition.

Your call to action: Use power words to lead them to your website. For example, you may write “To know more about this product / subject visit XYZ.com.”

Your contact information – Take care to include valid data about your telephone number and contact address. Remember, once your article is published it’s no easy task to retract.

Here are some dos and don’ts:

Don’t dilute your website by posting a large number of irrelevant URLs.

Don’t let your article writing go on a tangent. Stay focused on the subject or the product. Avoid writing too much about your accomplishments. Nobody really wants to know. Rather focus on the benefits your article can accrue to the reader.

Keep your resource box short – no more than one-fifth of your article size.

There’s no question that boosting your marketing strategy by means of writing articles is something you should seriously consider. It’s one of the most effective ways in helping you enhance your image in the affiliate marketing industry.
