There is a fantastic blog<\/a> hosting<\/a> service available that is becoming very popular. It is called WordPress, or WP for shot. The popularity of this content management system has been growing rapidly due to its blogging script, which is very easy to use. There are parts of WordPress that requires users to know and some PHP and HTML coding, and some users get nervous just thinking about the whole process. However, if you just learn a little, you will not have any problems.<\/p>\n

There are two basic components to WordPress, the free blogging service and a self hosted element. If you do not know anything about HTML coding, or if you donat have access to PHO or MySQL resources, you would probably want to use the hosting service, and an account can be set up in minutes. When you use the free hosting service, you donat need to know anything about coding at all!<\/p>\n

If you have your own hosting, you can use WPas well-known a5 Minute Installationa to download the files you need to start using this amazing service. The only things you need are an available database and the ability to assign usage by way of a user name and password. If you run into any problems, you can always get help by visiting the WordPress forum or by using the WP Codex.<\/p>\n

After initial set up, users can either start posting right away or they can begin modifying their new blogs to fit their own specifications. Both hosted and self-hosted sites have a dashboard, also known as the control panel. This gives the users access for posting and editing comments, and although the two types are somewhat different, there is enough in common between them that anyone will be able to figure out what they need to know.<\/p>\n

Once you set up your dashboard, you can begin posting right away. There are several links available on every navigational bar: Write<\/a>, Manage, Design, and Comments. When you click on awrite,a you will be taken to a posting page that offers you a variety of formats. It will resemble an email text editor, and you can choose different fonts and styles. You will also be allowed to insert pictures and web links. For those new to blogging, you can also just type in the text without doing anything else.<\/p>\n

It is not necessary to know anything about coding to create a post. The editor is on and available, however, to those who do want to take advantage of this feature. Instead of just typing in text, you will be able to choose the HTML tag you want. Sometimes the code comes out broken this way, so users need to exercise caution. WordPress will automatically correct code that is entered wrong, but this can result in different formats than you were trying for, so take care to enter your codes correctly.<\/p>\n

After youave typed up your new post, simply hit the apublisha button and your text hits the internet immediately. You can refresh your page and see the posting right then. If you would rather save the post for posting later, just hit the asavea button instead, and WordPress will not post the text right away, allowing you to come back and edit it later.<\/p>\n

Publishing a post on a blog hosted at WordPress.com or on a blog using the self hosted WordPress script is easy as well as efficient, once the blog is set up, and users will quickly become adept at doing so with a little practice.<\/p>\n
