A question I am often asked is the following; if you do not have real big pocket book but you want to start bringing in revenue for your business what is the most cost efficient way to get started? <\/p>\n

Everyone’s situation is different, so there is no easy answer or clear cut method. In this article I will give you insights and ideas as I built my business when I was deep in student debt. <\/p>\n

I just graduated university and marketing products was something that I did not have any experience with. I did not have any money and I did not have any contact so what that presented is a humongous opportunity to be extremely creative and that is what you really have to start tapping into because I do not know about you, but I am most creative when I am most desperate and that is a good thing. <\/p>\n

Getting started will always present obstacles, which can be overcome creatively. Getting people’s attention, building relationships<\/a>, creating products and marketing those products can be completed by finding creative ways to do them. <\/p>\n

This is really a great opportunity for you to build momentum from your creativity and use it in an effective way. You should really think about what is important to you at this time. Is generating revenue important? Building a list? Creating products? <\/p>\n

Focus on what is important at this particular point in your career. Maximize that area by utilizing your creativity. Of course revenue was important to me when I was first starting, but not the most important as building a long term profitable business. <\/p>\n

To be able to secure a profitable business long term I had to made the sacrifice of early profits. Instead I gave away what I did have, time and exchanged it for products, services, JV opportunities, all kinds of things. <\/p>\n

I was volunteering my time. I was doing all kinds of things like volunteering at events. I was doing marketing for people. I was writing for people. I was doing anything that I could to build relationships with key people and utilizing what I have available to me and that was time. <\/p>\n

So in the beginning, you have to work a little bit harder and you have got to be a little bit more creative in order to get what it is that you want, but you got to know exactly what it is that you want. <\/p>\n

Otherwise, you are just going to be spinning in circles. I want to encourage you when you are starting out to get very clear on what it is that you are looking to do. Are you looking to generate revenue? If so, then you need to find creative ways to generate revenue in a short period of time. <\/p>\n

If building relationships seems more important to you to be able to your long-term profitability, the use your creativity to find ways to connect with key people. Build those relationships for your future success. <\/p>\n

It really depends on what you are focused on right now. If you are looking to build your list, then you want to find creative ways to build your list then you want to send your attention on doing that. <\/p>\n

Starting off, get extremely clear on what it is you are looking for. Next, tap into your creativity, especially if you don’t have any money available, because that is not an excuse to quit or not do as well. It is always just a matter of finding the solution to your problem and with a little creativity you can really accomplish what you want to do.<\/p>\n
