A new mother is so busy adjusting to her new family that blogging is probably the farthest thing from her mind. Caring for a new baby can be overwhelming. Between changing diapers, feeding the baby and washing laundry, it can seem a bit far-fetched to think there would be any spare time for blogging. <\/p>\n

Despite all this, more moms are starting to blog<\/a> than ever before to share their experiences of raising a new baby. Mothers can benefit greatly from blogging, too. Blogs can help you get through the night and connect with far away family.<\/p>\n

One of the biggest benefits of blogging for new moms is that it gives them a place to vent about the trials and tribulations of new motherhood. Babies can take awhile to develop good sleeping patterns, which usually has mom up at all hours. With the popularity of the Internet, more moms are choosing to spend this time online rather than just plop down in front of the television. While surfing the net, many moms are discovering that blogging lifts their spirits and helps them feel productive by giving them a place to share their fears, their frustrations and their joys.<\/p>\n

Some moms find blogging to fill a need is because it provides community<\/a>. By commenting on others’ blogs and receiving comments on their own, they find a circle of others who have also been where they are. Real life social commitments can be difficult with a new baby, and these online relationships<\/a> can help fill the void with humor, support and camaraderie. Many of these blogging moms chat together on a regular basis. It helps overcome the isolation that new moms often feel in our society.<\/p>\n

Blogs also give new moms a place to brag about their adorable new babies. A blog fosters the contemplation of the experience of birth and motherhood, and how wonderful it is to share the milestones of their baby’s development. The ability to share these milestones and revelations with others can make them even more pleasurable and special. Blogs can be used to update family and friends with pictures and family accomplishments. Videos can also be added to a blog, so family that live far away can still share in baby’s first steps and other special events. Blogging is a great way to include these distant relations in the special moments they would otherwise miss.<\/p>\n
