Often we find something we are truly interested in, but unfortunately there is not enough demand for that topic and we fall short.

I see this happen often with a lot of businesses where people are struggling to figure out if they have a sizable market for online business opportunities. This makes it a challenge because there are so many options out there and it can be very overwhelming for a new entrepreneur.

You can figure out what the customers in your niche want through many different avenues like magazines, journals, and newspapers. For an online business these can be great avenues to help you figure out what is the right product to fit your consumer to make them very happy.

I would suggest first you get some java and then take a trip to the nearest bookstore so that way you can get some answers and also save some gas! If you go to a Barnes & Noble or a Borders go to the area where your books would be located in your niche and check out how many books exist on your topic. The more the better and you want to see a row of books and not just a couple books.

Follow that up with a Google search on your topics with parenthesis around the word to figure out the competition for your keyword. Check to see if your competing pages are over or under 100,000. If it is under 100,000 then you are in a good market worth going after.

Do another search on Google for your keywords, but this time do it without the parenthesis around it. You want to do a search this way to figure out exactly how many other advertisers are competing for positions on the sponsored links above and to the side of the organic searches. If they are filled with at least ten then you are in good shape because this shows that other people are making money marketing in this realm.

Last you want to check the Google Adwords Keyword Tool to see how many searches there are for a keyword on the internet. I like this tool because Google obviously is going to know their own traffic better than anyone and it is pretty accurate. I would suggest checking the average search volume monthly with the exact phrase instead of broad or phrase options because this will really water down your results and give you a realistic or even underestimating traffic results. You want to shoot for at least 100,000 on your average search results.

This is going to be good if you have an online business opportunity and it will tell if you are going in the right direction. This way you will never have to worry about your business direction.

About the Author:

He Krueger is an ideal source for pupils and readers that are searching for a solid online business opportunity at home.
