How do you define a small business? Is it a business with little cash flow? Is hundreds of dollars a day considered \\”little\\”? Certainly not when your products are one-cent stuff. So if you’re looking at finding the right shopping card for your small business, you must first examine – what is your business?<\/p>\n

Are you selling plenty of things a day? Do you get heaps of hits? Are you managing those hits well? Or are you more of a \\”Mom and Pop\\” store – small sales, limited volume and customers you mostly know personally? You’ll have to select a shopping cart based on which of these categories you fit into.<\/p>\n

You can easily find Ecommerce shopping cart software with a simple search. But how will you choose what parameters you’re looking for? Maybe you are looking for a solution that enables your customers to quickly select and buy a product, in 2 or 3 clicks.<\/p>\n

Or, maybe you would like to give the shoppers more choice – \\”Add to Cart\\”, \\”Remove from Cart\\” – or maybe even the option to communicate with a live salesman during the process. All of these are features that greatly improve your image with the customer.<\/p>\n

Obviously between the two extremes mentioned above, there will be cost differences. Your shopping cart is something that could talk<\/a> a lot about your aservicea orientation. What premium would you pay for that?<\/p>\n

Another thing, what would you like shoppers to pay to use your cart? Often, service charges can prohibit them from making good choices (like buying your products!). Evaluate if your vendor has a service charge per transaction and see whether the landed cost to shoppers is still in the ballpark.<\/p>\n

There are times when your business calls for lots of products to be checked off a list. How often would your shopper have to revisit the cart? Is there a program that can directly load the cart in the background? That would be cool. Further, it would not break the rhythm of checking boxes so the shopper may buy more, making the cart program pay for itself.<\/p>\n

At the end of the day, choosing the best small business shopping cart will depend on how long you want your business to stay as a \\”small business\\”. Every bigger business started off small just like you, but, due to their focus on customer satisfaction, they gradually grew up. If you make the right choice for your shopping cart, you too could be on the path to success.<\/p>\n
