I hope you know that you are not the only one. I communicate with many people every day who would like to earn a little extra. Most have a tremendous fear of making a mistake or being scammed.

How do you know if an online business opportunity is real or a scam? The following are a few things which you want to research while you are searching for a way to make money online. These are some of the “red flags”.

1.There is no real product, you are paying to sign up, and in turn you will sign others up in order to earn profits. 2. You find it hard to get in touch with people or have a conversation. 3. Web sites are poorly constructed and appear unprofessional. 4. Asking for a payment or payment information just to take a “test drive” of a specific portion of the web site. 5. Guaranteeing a certain level of income.

The following are things to look for when searching for an internet business opportunity.

1. Market driven products that are downloadable or digital. You don’t want to wait or pay for shipping. 2. Well constructed web sites and marketing software that are professionally prepared. 3. The ability to have “live” conversations with your sponsor as well as people in the main office. 4. The name of the Founder and a means to get in touch with them. 5. The ability to test drive the site for free. 6. A compensation plan which is suitable to your needs and gives you the opportunity to create wealth. 7. Ongoing training to teach you step by step how to build your business and create wealth.

Internet marketing can be a lot of fun and very lucrative. Making money via the internet also gives you freedoms not found in a job. You can work from just about anywhere and almost any time you want. You don’t have to worry about meeting people in person. You can literally do business with people all over the world, so you don’t have to attempt to recruit all of your family members and friends into some tired old idea. No hotel meetings or house parties are required either.

To be truly successful you will have to work. Online marketing is a business you can start in just a few hours per day in the beginning. The most important thing in the beginning is that you make a commitment to do whatever it takes in order to be successful. If you truly want to make money in an online business, you should also commit to finding a mentor. You’ll also want to become part of a group which is already having success and will assist you in becoming successful. This is critical in the beginning.
