There are numerous different kinds of 3M adhesive tapes that can be purchased today. 2. Adhesive Transfer Tape – This tape is sensitive to pressure and comes with an adhesive surface on both sides of it just as the VHB tape does. However in order to protect one side of the tape it has a liner which needs to removed in order to stick the second surface to the first. This kind of tape is ideal for using when wanting to bond light weight materials such as paper and plastic to each other.<\/p>\n

3. Specialty Masking Tape – This one has been developed for use with printed circuit boards, chemical baths and photographic processes. The tape contains components which allow the surface to adhere to the item and are in no away affected by the chemicals or metal that they may come into contact with.<\/p>\n

4. Metal Foil Tape – This kind of adhesive tape from 3M comes in a number of different styles. The main one used is one which has an aluminum covering to it, but there is also a aluminum reinforced tape and one that contains a lead backing. All of them come with a silicone adhesive and are very soft and malleable so can be wrapped around anything. These tapes are used on items where temperature levels can get extremely high.<\/p>\n

All the 3M adhesive tapes which we have mentioned in this article are extremely easy and quick to apply. However, in order for them to be truly effective the surface to which they are going to be adhered to needs to be thoroughly cleaned beforehand. Using a solution of water or cleaning product is perfect to help remove all dust and debris from the surface. Plus it is essential that before you apply the products that you ensure that the surface is completely dry.<\/p>\n
