If you have internet access on any mobile device that you have, you are prone to be a target for cyber criminals. The problem of downloading spyware or any kind malware arises, when you download it from the internet to your iPhone, which maybe free. The advertisements for free downloading may look appealing, but you should check out the site before downloading from it.

The Trojan Horse

The story of the Trojan war is a well-known myth in world history. The unconquerable city of Troy was battling out its position against Greece. Suddenly one day the people found a massive horse made of wood standing just outside the walls of the city. Since the horse was one of the symbols of Troy, people thought that it had been sent to them as a blessing from Goddess Athena. So the horse was taken inside the city and put as an offering for the Goddess Athena.

But there were the best Greek soldiers hidden inside the wooden horse. When the city went to sleep, they emerged from the Trojan horse and destroyed the city completely. The same can be the case when you have free iPhone downloads. You may just be basking in happiness to have hit upon a free gift like ring tones, smiley faces or trendy wallpaper, but actually behind them there is malware (malicious software) and the hand of a cyber criminal who is out to destroy your computer.

Be Safety Conscious

An array of programs is covered by malware that can be harmful for your computer and your iPhone. There are several names allocated to them like Trojan Horses, or simple ones like viruses, spyware, toolkits or keyloggers. They react on your computer in a particular manner and you can make out that your computer has been hit by a malware, when it either runs slowly or it behaves in a peculiar manner.

The first thing that you should do when something like this happens is to put in computer software programs into your computer and your iPhone immediately. You cannot afford to depend upon the existing security program of your devices. It is possible that the latest technology is not available to combat the malware that can come in with the free iPhone downloads.

If there are any pop-up ads which appear on your screen and are advertising free iPhone downloads, never click on any of the links. You should also never open an email, whose address you do not recognize. In order to remove all emails containing malware, you require a spam filter for your computer and iPhone. This can also identify links to websites which load malware into your devices and screen them.

If your website has not been indexed by the search engines you will not come up in the search results. When you search the “web” using Google, Yahoo or MSN’s search tools, you’re not searching the Internet you are searching the search engines databases.

When a site is submitted to the search engines the search engines uses software called “spiders” to crawl the pages of your website through your internal site navigation and captures vital information about each page and in puts it into their database.

The information captured include Meta tags, content, H1 tags, Alt tags, sites that you link to and sites that links back to your site. The Meta tags are at the top of your web page in the code. They are in what is called the header. The Meta tags are very important to the search engines because they tell them what is on the page. Along with the H1 tags Alt tags and the content in the body of the text on the web page this gives the search engines the information they need to index or put into their database your web page. It is very important that your Meta tags are specific to each page of your site. Do not just copy and paste the same Meta tags to every page on your website. There’s a big explanation from that old and that later. There are several ways to get web pages into the search engines a database (indexed).

Submit your site to the different search engines. There are a lot of sites, for small fee, that will take your indexed pager homepage and submit it to hundreds or thousands of search engines over and over every month for the rest of your life. Run don’t walk away from the sites. If you keep trying to submit your site, especially to Google, Yahoo and MSN, this may appear to them as spam. Spammy is bad! I suggest that you do not even register with Google, yahoo or MSN unless you have 6 to 9 weeks to sit around and wait for your website to be indexed.

In part II, we will reveal the secrets of getting fast, safe submissions.

It’s hard to imagine why anyone would want to remove a comment box from a MySpace profile, but there are indeed reasons to do so. MySpace users will find that much of their quarrels with the problems in the MySpace system can be solved, simply by removing the comment box in their profile.

For those who aren’t a partial to the spam that MySpace comments being laden on their profiles, there is an option to remove the comments box altogether. For many mainstream users, this isn’t a problem. But for those with hundreds of friends, there can be just as many spam comments on one’s profile each day. Avoiding the massive amount of spam is as simple as removing the comment box for a few days to cut down on moderation times.

For anyone who is worried about passing on phishing scams to their friends, removing a comment box can help out to keep the MySpace community clean of malicious activity. In this case, removing a comment box around seasons of increased phishing attempts is a good idea to help keep friends clean of spyware, viruses, and stolen MySpace accounts. And what good is a MySpace account if it is used by third parties to send spam?

Of course, not every reason pertains to spam and malicious behavior. It has now become popular to find a MySpace code to remove comments for the sole reason of running a professional business. Businesses are now making profiles to help broadcast their services and products in a legitimate manner. But with friends and customers commenting obscene things, this can help reduce the sense of professionalism. Thus, removing the comment box will keep business reputation running strong.

And then again, not everyone has enough patience or time for a social networking platform. Instead, they would rather hold a profile to keep in touch with friends when they need to. To keep from getting emails about comments one is not interested in, removing the comment box from a profile will enable such people to have their cake and eat it too.

In the end, removing a comment box from a MySpace profile is quite easy. It only requires a MySpace code that is as simple as copying and pasting into one’s profile. Obtaining the code is just as easy- it’s completely free and found on many MySpace resource websites. And to make matters better, one can remove the code at any time to go back to allowing comments on their profile- it’s that simple! The process should only take a couple of minutes at most.

Final Thoughts

There is much to enjoy in removing a comment box from a MySpace profile. Benefits such as less moderation times, lack of dangers passed onto friends, and lack of phishing attempts are quite enjoyable. And the process of obtaining such benefits is incredibly easy, and the process should never take more than a couple of minutes. Because it couldn’t be any easier, obtaining such benefits is well worth the effort.

You doctor, if he or she is like most others, will be very wary of your using an online depression test to self diagnose, and for good reason. These types of tests can of course be very useful, but not if they are done instead of seeing your doctor! So by all means use them, but do realise that your symptoms may be because of medical reasons, or even because of other psychological conditions.

Up until now the most commonly-used test for depression has been the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), developed by Aaron T Beck many years ago. That test had to be paid for each time it was used, wasn’t freely available to the general public, and was quite negatively focussed.

A BETTER TEST FOR DEPRESSION

Nowadays psychologists and other health professionals are moving toward the use of the Lifeworks Joy Inventory which is seen as superior to the BDI for several reasons. One of these is that the test is positively focussed, so although the test is still extremely accurate, it prepares the client to shift his/her focus to solutions rather than problems.

Health practitioners and the general public can have confidence in the Lifeworks Joy Inventory because in every case to date it has matched well with the BDI and with other commonly-used scales (Montgomery Asberg Depression Rating Scale, and the client’s own Subjective Units of Discomfort Scale).

As well as being highly accurate, the Lifeworks Joy Inventory has another advantage: it is completely free to use and may be distributed freely as well. Designed as a gift to the field of mental health, it was hoped that more people would then benefit from free and easy access to quality testing.

So if you believe you or a loved one may be suffering from depression, you’ll find a link below to an interactive online test that will not only give you a depression rating and explain its meaning, but will also spell out what else you need to do in order to get a correct diagnosis.

As explained in the test results, extremes can also be a cause for concern and also need the attention of a doctor and/or psychologist. Whilst a low extreme could be depression, it may also suggest other health problems. A high extreme could indicate an unhealthy denial of life’s normal ups and downs.

AFTER YOUR TEST

Regardless of your test results, if you suspect that you may be depressed, it’s very important to make an appointment with your doctor so that he/she can ask the right questions to determine if there’s a medical reason for your depression symptoms (such as an endocrine disorder), as well as checking exact symptoms in relation to digestion, sleep, skin and hair, sexual dysfunction, stress factors, and a range of other matters.

Once you have a proper diagnosis of depression you can embark on treatment knowing that any other medical issues have also been identified and will also be treated.

There is a proviso though: I urge you not to believe any health professional (or any web site, no matter how authoritative) who tells you that depression is difficult to treat, or that it’s going to take a long time to get over it, or that you have to learn to accept depression as part of your life. That type of belief belongs in the dark ages! Research done world wide, including by The Lifeworks Group in Australia, has demonstrated that depression can usually be resolved very rapidly, usually in just a matter of days, and that better results are achieved without drugs for most patients.

For any depression treatment to be effective we need to look at the 17 lifestyle factors that health researchers advise are known to cause or help cause depression. We also need to examine the unconscious thoughts and feelings that underpin depression, and eliminate those quickly and easily using modern therapy techniques.

After all, if your lifestyle is healthy and truly “life sustaining”, and you feel mentally strong and optimistic, depression simply cannot co-exist with that state of affairs. You have a whole life to get on with.
