There was something distinctively different and attractive in the way that Sara Smith treated others. As an employee, she was a shining example for other co-workers simply because of her friendly personality. People tended to gravitate toward her. It was as if Sara looked at each day as a gift to be treasured. It would be evident after being around her for a short time that she appreciated life. The enthusiasm for living also affected others who were around her.

Her co-workers never once heard Sara complain. Not only did she show appreciation, but Sara also had a way of making others feel appreciated for doing business with the organization. Customers would feel that they were being served by the most thankful person in the world. This not only created a positive experience for the customer, but also gave them the desire to want to return in the future.

Sara also had an innate ability of making her customers feel accepted by the sincere respect and warm welcome that she consistently showed to others. Never one to speak unkindly, Sara always had an encouraging word to both her co-workers and customers. Her words were always positive, encouraging, and never critical. Everyone on her team appreciated how she chose her words wisely.

Customers could not help but walk away feeling that they were just given the absolute best service. This is because Sara understood the power of appreciation and respect for the customer. Each day customers would ask to be assisted by Sara. Many customers would drive out of their way simply to be served by her. She was highly valued within her company, a positive encouragement to her fellow co-workers, and loved by her customers. This is what made Sara an outstanding superstar in the field of customer service.

Most Filipino maids in Hong Kong would prefer Western employers over Chinese employers. Whenever they inquire from our employment agency for job opportunities, they are more likely to ask, “Do you have Western employers available?”

Our employment agency caters to an international market. We receive inquiries from expatriates who need domestic helpers from time to time which results from our internet marketing endeavor.

But out of curiosity, I usually interview those Filipino maids why they want to work for Western employers more than the Chinese employers in Hong Kong. They said that the former tend to be more understanding and generous in terms of compensation compared with the latter.

The four major areas where Western employers shows an edge over the Chinese employers in terms of their treatment of filipino domestic helpers are : atmosphere of work environment, consideration, socio-psychological distance and personal space. This is the result of the in-depth study conducted by the Chinese University of Hong Kong on how domestic helpers in Hong Kong are treated by their employers.

The data were based on in-depth and structured interviews of Filipino helpers who have served both types of employers. A few Western and Chinese employers were also interviewed.

Based on the study, it has been found that Western employers tend to provide their filipino domestic helpers with easier and comfortable work environment. Western employers were found to be more considerate and are more likely to treat their domestic helpers equally and allow them more personal space, thus giving the helpers more work satisfaction.

Lastly, in terms of variations in treatment of maids, Western employers are more homogeneous and they tend to concentrate on the positive side. On the other hand, Chinese employers are more diversified. There is no single pattern on how they treat their Filipino maids. This is a basis why Filipino domestic helpers in Hong Kong prefer Western employers.

We have total freedom because of this internet business

The lake was like glass as I slide the boat next to the dock. We lit the torches, and took a walk along the shore before the dusk started to settle in. Wading along just being nosey, chasing the minnows with every foot step until the skeeters moved us into the screen porch for the evening.

A bucket of ice, and fresh lemonade with uv blue in the candle light sounds in order for the evening. I look out over the bay, and spot a bunch of loons having a little get together of their own. Then with their haunting whistle, they take off to their summer beds before the sunset.

I’m with my honey, there’s a full moon lighting the bay, and the radio is playing the stones song wild horses. It feels very surreal with the flicker of the candles in the darkness, the sun and the wind of the day will take some time to get used to, then she melts in to my arms for the night.

We spend August this way. Escaping into the serenity of the forest near a town with just enough amenities, finding a cool sandy beach on these hot afternoons. Coffee in the mornings on the deck are the best. I love the shadows of the morning, but they never seem to last long enough.

It’s time to motivate, and get heading into town to get the things we need to survive on the water for the next few days. We get the cooler ready, pack up the boat, and head off to our favorite stretch of sand. It drops off so perfectly, and is cool and clear. The best beach we ever found.

We let time pass on these warm days without a second thought. Set up an umbrella, plenty of ice in the cooler, and hang in the cool water. We talk about the plans for the evening, but nothing is for sure. I get a couple of wine coolers from the cooler, and we take a break from the hot sun.

We spot a couple of eagles on the edge of their nest high in tree near by. Their babies probably ready to fly, then lay on the blanket under the umbrella for a while before heading back into the cool water. With our arms around each other, we live in the moment of the power of intention.

There is a kind of inbound link that the search engines use to decide that your site is worth putting at the top of a search result. Links to your site from relevant, respected websites are a way to hit search engine gold.

One way You can get this type of inbound link is by approaching website owners and asking for a link, or by sending them articles (with a link to your site) that would be interesting to their audiences. But before you do, here’s a list of what to look for.

Great inbound links…

– Come from relevant sites. If your site is about golfing, don’t go after a link from a site that sells hockey sticks.

– Look natural. If people were linking to your website randomly, they wouldn’t all use the same anchor text, and they wouldn’t all link to you in the same week. So when you give out the links you want people to use, vary the anchor text and build them up gradually over time.

– Aren’t among dozens of other links. You don’t want the page your link is on to have more than two dozen outbound links – the fewer the better (unless the link is from a directory).

– Are placed in a good position on the site. Negotiate to get your link embedded in a natural position — usually within some text in the main body area. The search engines can discredit links found in the footer, right-hand side, or other popular areas where advertising usually goes.

Don’t stress about getting your link on the homepage. Deep links within a strong complementary website are still great.

– Are found on sites that are indexed regularly. Check the Google cache date of the page the link would come from and make sure it’s recent.

– Are on sites that have been around for a while. The search engines assume that an older site is more credible

– Are on sites with high Google PageRank. The more links you can get from high PageRank sites, the higher you’ll get ranked in Google’s listings. However, if you find a website that would be a great partner but the PageRank is 3 or lower, you will still want to work with them

Something to avoid is overuse of your keywords. It happens all the time too. People just don’t understand the history behind the spider spamming and think that more is better. 50 keywords on your page will probably get you banned for that keyword. Five on the page may well get you listed high for it. Algorithms are always changing and there really is no one keyword density for any given page. This is something that has roots in all the other facets of your page, everything else that is there, and where any given keyword appears, whether it’s in heading tags, or just text. Get lots of inbound links.

SEO is common sense, but it is even more than that. It is understanding how different html tags works together, and how the search engines will perceive that. It is a lot of trial and error which will, in the end, lead you to good solid and proper optimization techniques. All of this will lead you to better search engine rankings.

Let’s face it, without listings “above the fold”, (visible without scrolling) on the first page at Google, you are just not going to get many visitors. You need to get your site into these top positions in order to make any real advancement in your online marketing.

Concentrate on getting your optimization right for the major engines, Google, MSN and Yahoo! This is where 99% of your traffic is going to come from. They each have differing algorithms, but good solid techniques will help you win on all three of these giants.
