Sharkboy and Lavagirl, An Unusual Classic

The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl takes viewers on an unpredictable ride in the grand tradition of creative films such as Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, which is set in a bizarre world, and films such as The Never-ending Story, in which mistreatment by bullies sends the victim into a dream world where he can be a hero. The juxtaposition of fantasy and reality in the film is demands your full attention.

The action centers around ten year old Max. A dreamer who is often bullied at school, he creates his own friends from his infinite imagination. Shark Boy and Lava Girl are super heroes from Planet Drool who come exploding into Max’s school room one day looking for his help in saving their planet from encroaching darkness. As their world was built in Max’s vigorous imagination, the super heroes inform him that he is the only one who can save it.

Their adventures together are truly out of the ordinary by any stretch of the imagination. The lines between fantasy and reality blur as the bad guys on Planet Drool are often real life foes of Max altered into strange antagonists. For instance, his actual Earth teacher, Mr. Electricidad, becomes the menacing Mr. Electric, whose nasty animated power cords threaten the heroes. By the climax of the movie, the action has returned to Earth.

The surreal quality of Planet Drool sounds like the game Candy Land meshed with Willie Wonka’s chocolate factory. The characters ride in a banana-split boat on the “Stream of Consciousness”, take the uncontrollable Train of Thought to the Land of Milk and Cookies, and get a Crystal Heart from an Ice Princess in the Land of Ice. Revealingly, the screenwriter, Robert Rodriguez, got considerable amount help with the plot from his children. One, seven-year-old Racer, was actually given screen credit!

While the film may not have as much of an attraction for grown-ups as it does for children, it is still an engaging story. The story of a victim triumphing over a bully is always a favorite plot with children.

It takes an average of seven visits before someone will purchase a product or post on a forum, so it’s important to give both reason to return to your site.

4. Navigational links that are clear and make sense from your main home page. There’s nothing more frustrating than not being able to find what you are looking for easily, most visitors will leave quickly if it’s seems too confusing to find what they are looking for.

5. Text means everything in web content. Search engine crawlers ignore Javascript, they disregard graphics, and until recently, they couldn’t read text in Flash animations. If the search engine spiders can’t read it, it doesn’t help your page rankings.

The real secret to long term success with web site optimization is to make sure your site is usable and interesting, both to the search engine spiders and to your human visitors. Keep adding fresh content that makes them both want to come back for more, and your site will continue to grow in popularity with both.

Water Fuel Will Become Dominant

The use of water as a way to fuel a car has long been promoted by the science fiction community. Such authors as H. G. Wells, Isaac Asimov and Piers Anthony have documented such ideas. The world of technology that has never before been thought of has always been brought by these inventive minds.

With the inception of water as a source of energy in power plants, it has also become a dream for running a vehicle. Many people have tried to invent a way to use water as a fuel for cars. All of them have failed until recently.

In Japan, inventors believe they have found the key to making water a valuable source for car fuel. It has not yet been patented but it is on its way. Once the patent has been established, other companies will be able to use it.

Vehicles that are cheaper and cleaner will be made by other car companies once the patent has been publicized. Damage from the pollution created by emissions of gas from vehicles has been done to the ozone layer. With this damage, many people believe that in the near future is a second ice age.

Our air will become cleaner once the water-fuelled vehicles are created and the oil used to create petrol has been made obsolete. It is not only good for the people of the planet, it is a good step for the environment. The cases of cancer will lessen across the globe with the cleaner air.

Other technology-based countries have always been a step behind Japan. The technology industry of Japan has invented and reinvented cell phones, computers, and video games. Another notch in the Japanese technology belt will be the water-based fuel movement.

A dream of inventors has always been water-fuelled vehicles. Creating an engine that uses only water as a fuel has been tried by many men. Both Stanley Meyers and Henry Garrett have come short of the real thing, though they are known for having invented ways to use water as a fuel.

Stanley Meyers had created a machine that seemed to be run simply by water energy. However, he would not give full details about how the machine worked. He claimed that his engine produced energy by using water alone without any other energy source.

A mysteriously efficient form of electrolysis was what he claimed produced his hydrogen. His machines was merely a perpetual motion machine, it was soon discovered. The second law of thermodynamics was defied; therefore his machine was not a true water-fuelled vehicle.

A water-fuelled carburetor was what Henry Garrett had invented. It was not entirely a new invention, but a redesign of the regular carburetor. This is not considered a water-fuelled engine as the gas was still the source of energy, however, it did help in advancing water-based fuel research.

Water-fuelled cars will become a modern concept rather than a futuristic view, once the patent has been given. The Japanese water-fuelled car will help create a cleaner world. People will enjoy a cleaner world and cheaper fuel prices.
