Ayurveda and The Changing Seasons

by Richard A Masla

Are you one of those people who suddenly come down with a cold and cough when winter changes to spring? I will share some information from the ancient teachings of the Ayurveda that will help you to support and nurture yourself during seasonal changes and other times when the body may become stressed. The Ayurveda says that most diseases are born during the changing of the seasons.

Although very subtle, the earth’s energies are shifting in the early spring as the sun makes it way up the northern hemisphere. The sun’s warmth begins heating the air and the earth. The cool and damp nature of the winter season has past. The winter is influenced by the kapha dosha, one of the 3 biological forces of nature or doshas, according to the Science of Ayurveda.

The three doshas are kapha, pitta and vata or in a simplified understanding, kapha is the biological combination of water and earth, pitta is fire and water and vata is air and ether. The 3 doshas govern all biological and psychological processes of our body, mind and consciousness. They also govern the actions of the material world including the seasons, times of day and different geographical environments.

In the spring, the element of pitta or the biological heat element becomes more prominent in our environment. The human body is a microcosm of the external world. During the winter season the body, in creating homeostasis, tries to insulate itself from the cold by adding extra kapha. The nature of kapha is cold, moist and heavy.

Two principles involved in all Ayurvedic applications: LIKES INCREASE LIKES | OPPOSITES BALANCE

Therefore a special cleansing and purification is recommended during the change of the seasons. This purification is called Pancha Karma. Pancha Karma will remove excess kapha in the spring, excess pitta in early fall and excess vata in late fall. The process of Pancha Karma has been practiced for thousands of years by followers of the Ayurveda.

Pancha Karma involves simple yet effective treatments. The objective is to remove excess toxins and balance the doshas. The process starts with a synchronized 2-person warm herbal oil massage called Abhyanga. This massage specifically stimulates the immune system and detoxifies the system. Then you receive an aromatherapy steam bath called Sweda, to support the cleansing of the lymphatic system and to reduce stress on the liver. This is followed by a Royal Spa treatment called Shirodhara. As warm herbal oil flows onto your forehead and 6th chakra energy center, your mind, body and soul awaken to inner peace and harmony. These are just some of the treatments that are part of Pancha Karma.

These treatments I have found to be most effective to reduce stress, detoxify the tissues of the body and to find regained inner strength and balance.

Selling What Sells: Incentive Marketing Insight

by Salvador Paez

Have you ever gone across a “promo” in the supermarket, where a product being sold includes another free product when you buy it? Many consumer goods and services often use this kind of sales and marketing tactic. If you’re not familiar with this, this is called incentive marketing. With this strategy, the consumers are offered particular “rewards” when they buy particular goods or services. The main objective of this is to urge the customers to buy an item that’s useful to them, while getting an incentive at the same time.

Many costumers find themselves attracted to this marketing tactic, especially if they always keep an eye out for a bargain. For them, it’s wonderful to buy the product at that given time because it comes with a free item. They don’t mind that it goes against their shopping schedule or their budget. They also think that they will buy it later anyway.

In the process, the sales person is actually the incentive program’s secondary target, since the incentive waiting for the sales person if and when the sales person breaches the quota is what motivates him or her to motivate other people in exchange for incentives or gifts.

Incentive marketing is becoming widespread. There are even reputable institutions that aim to advance the interests of this marketing strategy. One example is the Incentive Marketing Association or IMA. This group is focused on helping people understand the good points of incentive marketing, and how they play an important role in the upward movement of a business, especially in the trade landscape. Groups like the IMA are also very credible and helpful sources of information especially in business development and education.

These groups also help partner companies as well as individuals in getting in touch with other companies affiliated with incentive marketing groups, like marketing, performance improvement and travel specialist companies, through an ever-growing contact network.

How To Promote Affiliate’s Products

by Stu McLaren

We’ve all had those questions in our business that either stop our train of thought or slow our level of productivity down. Ranging from product creation, affiliate marketing, teleseminars, financial matters, I know in my own business I’ve come upon hundreds of business questions that I wish I could know the answer to. So, in this article I am going to answer two questions I’ve had about affiliate marketing.

Here is the first question:

What is the best way to promote someone else’s product when you are one of their affiliates?

There are a number of different ways to promote somebody else’s products. Using teleseminars is a very effective way. Using videos is another effective way. Doing solo email campaign, that is just as effective as well. So there are many different ways to do it.

You want to find the method that will have the best impact or response from your list. Personally, I like to do use teleseminars because it enables people to have interaction and allows you to really get across the value of the product you are promoting. Using video can allow you to have this option to and people respond very well to videos because they feel more intimate than an email. Videos are something I use for almost every promotion I do.

As an affiliate myself, I will only promote products that I have either bought, used or benefited from myself. To be able to give an honest opinion and evaluation of the product I have to have used it and really know what it is about.

If I am promoting a product that I have not bought, received any value from or even seen, then I am recommending it without ever using it myself. It can put you in an awkward situation if you know nothing about the product. So for me, I only promote products that I have seen myself, used myself or benefited for myself and I would encourage others to do the same because then you can promote from a situation when, “Here’s the product. Here’s how I’ve used it. Here’s the result that I’ve got. Here’s how it can benefit you,” and I think that is a much stronger pitch, if you will, as an affiliate than just saying, “Hey, I heard about this great product. Go, get it.”

As you can see there are a lot of different methods you can use when promoting other people’s products. Find what works best for you and I recommend actually having personal experience someway with the product.

Here is the second question:

What is a good percentage to offer someone whose list is very attractive to what you are trying to sell?

It depends. Affiliates and JV partners, naturally, they are going to want to be able to get as much as they can and the more you give the more an incentive it is for them, the more they want to promote. Likewise, you have to look at your profitability. In some cases, you cannot afford to give away massive amounts of your revenue because it does not make sense when you are looking at the product cost, the time cost and that nature.

My advice to you there, sit down and think through how much you can afford to give away and then look to maximize that as much as possible because the bigger commission, the more interest you will gain from JV partners and affiliates.

Trading Stock – Not All That Difficult

by Jesse Profit

There are many options when it comes to investing your money for profit, real estate, gold, joint ventures, stocks and bonds to name a few. Some avoid investing in stocks feeling they don’t know enough to get started plus it all seems very complicated. By reading this article your mind hopefully will be put at ease.

Let’s start at the beginning by defining just what stock is. Stock represents a share in a company’s business. Buy the stock and you actually become part owner of the company, a shareholder. Companies sell shares of their business and reinvest the money into the business helping it to grow. As the business grows the value of the stock will increase. Both the business and the investor (you) can profit when all goes well. In addition, as a shareholder you have the right to vote on major corporate decisions.

However, there is a certain level of risk involved with trading stock. If the company doesn’t progress, or even declines, then you may lose money. By understanding basic trends of the market, as well as simple stock trading strategy, you can minimize your risk. For example, if you buy shares when the economy is in a recession, there’s nowhere for prices to go but up! Thus, that would be a good time to invest if you have the money. Also, it’s beneficial to research the companies you’re interested in. See what their plans for the future are, how they manage their finances, and what they’ve accomplished recently. You can often request information to be sent directly from them, such as spending reports or budgets, but it’s also a good idea to look at outside sources that remain objective.

There are software programs available, stock trading systems, which analyze the marketplace and provide you with recommendations on which stocks to buy, sell or hold. While the performance of individual stocks is unpredictable on a day to day basis these programs look at performance over long periods of time and are quite effective at accurately predicting both short and long term trends.

Another tool worth using is diversification. This simply means spreading your investment over several stocks rather than investing all your money in one company. If one stock does poorly, better performance by another company tends to offset your loss. It’s also more enjoyable to track performance of a number of companies instead of just one, if you like to of that sort of thing. So instead of buying 500 shares of XYZ stock consider purchasing 100 share in each of five different companies.

To get started you’ll want to contact a brokerage firm. In the past this meant either a phone call or a visit to a local firm. Many still prefer to do it this way. When you’re unsure about what steps to take, talking face-to-face with a professional broker makes things much easier. These days many go through an online brokerage firm. This can be a very efficient way of making and managing you investments. You might want to talk to someone who has been (successfully) investing in the market for some time to get advice on which brokerage firm might be a good choice for you.

Once you’ve purchased you stock you can either forget about it for a long time or track it on a daily basis. It’s largely a matter of what you’re comfortable with. However periodic checking of your stocks and happenings in the marketplace is always a good idea. You can sometimes see events about to happen which you can take advantage of or take steps to avoid losses. A good brokerage firm will alert you as to happenings in the marketplace that may require some decision making on your part.

Somewhere along the line someone may say to you \”Never fall in love with your stocks\”. That’s excellent advice. It can be very a difficult decision to sell a stock, particularly one which has performed well for you in the past. Yet very often there is a good time to sell a stock. Companies grow and then level off or hit a bump in the road and selling the stock at the right time secures the profit you’ve made to date. One thing for sure, the longer you work at it the better you get and while the market can be very unpredictable and indeed frustrating at times, by learning more to tend to maximize your gains and minimize your losses. We wish you well in your journey!

MyWirelessNews – Examines Search Engine Ranking for your Website

by Trisha Frauenhofer

Search engines are the most important part of the experience of using the internet these days. A search engine is, more often than not, the way that people find websites and any other information they are searching for online. Why? Simple enough – it’s the easiest, fastest way to find the information you’re looking for online! MyWirelessNews requires that you know how all of this works and why you need to know it, here’s the skinny on search engines.

A search engine uses what is known as a spider or crawler (it has lots of them) which prowl the internet looking through websites and analyzing their content. When a new website is submitted to search engines, these engines will send out their spiders to check the site out. The content of the site is looked at, as is the content of any site yours is linked to. All of this data goes to a central databank where it is indexed. Spiders check back with pages frequently and will be re-indexed if there have been updates to the site.

Search engines also rank the sites which they index – and the sites linked to them. Search engines all have their own criteria for ranking websites.

When you perform a search using Google or some other search engine, what happens is this – the search engine will give you results which are not actually real time results, but rather the results of its own rankings. Since each engine uses different criteria to rank pages, a search for “birdhouses” on Google will yield a different set of results than will the same search on Yahoo. The results are dependent on the engine’s ranking system.

What does all of this mean for your web based marketing business? Basically, it means that you have to know how search engines work in order for your online marketing efforts to be fruitful. Say someone looks up MyWirelessNews using a search engine. They will certainly look at the first page of results. They may look at the second page as well; but the third? Probably not.

To enhance your search engine results keyword research is very important. You want to find out which keywords get searches but have comparatively little competition. You can then use these keywords to get higher rankings from search engines if you use them correctly.

Knowing a little about search engines and how they do what they do can help you to get your sites ranked higher – even showing up on the first page of search results, which is exactly where you want to be. A little knowledge about keywords can be a powerful thing.

Jump Start Your Career with an MBA

by Peter Brown

Many of the world’s top managers have one thing in common – they have an MBA. The MBA (Master of Business Administration) is the gold standard for business degrees. There is a huge range of business degrees available, including generic ones like Batchelor of Business Administration (BBA) or specialist degrees in areas like Finance or Marketing. However, few of these degrees focus on Management, or even have any substantial Management content.

An MBA can be a real asset to recent graduates and can significantly reduce the amount of time it takes to achieve a management post. This is particularly true if their first degree is not in a business area. However, an MBA can also be useful to recently-promoted managers. Many of those who work in business begin their careers in a functional area such as Finance or Marketing, before being promoted to a management position, sometimes with little knowledge of what’s really involved. It can be useful at this stage to enrol for an MBA course in order to improve their management skills.

MBAs were first introduced in the USA in the late 1800s and for many years they remained an American phenomenon. The first European MBAs were introduced in the 1940s and provision in Europe, and particularly in the UK, has grown ever since. Many people believe that a European MBA is superior to an American one, as they are often more rigorous and usually incorporate a thesis. European MBAs are particularly attractive to foreign students as they allow them to live and work in Europe before returning to their own country with a highly valued qualification and the skills required participate in business ventures with European partners.

Because they appeal to so many people, MBAs are usually offered in a variety of modes, including full-time, part time and distance learning, either paper-based or online. They can be studied in a variety of locations, but many people like to study in a major European capital like London or Paris. London is a particularly attractive destination, since it allows students to improve their English while studying for their degree.

MBA programmes usually cover a range of management areas areas, including Financial Management, Business Law, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management and Project Management. Some courses are very general in nature, but others allow students to specialise in areas such as Branding, Finance or Human Resource Management. Entrepreneurship is an extremely popular option since it is of great benefit to students who intend starting their own business.

The thesis is an important element of an MBA as it allows students to gain expert knowledge and experience of a particular business area and to establish contacts who will be useful in their future business career. Most theses are research-based, so MBA programmes generally include courses in qualitative and quantitative research methods to prepare students for carrying out their research.

Anyone who has just been promoted to a management position, or anyone considering a career in business should give serious consideration to doing an MBA to improve their management skills and to show their determination to build a successful career.

What is so special about Cuban cigars

by Trevor Wallace

You might have not touched them or even seen them, but I can guarantee you that you’ve heard about them. I’m talking about Cuban cigars, one of the best things ever created in history and it also happens to be the biggest export of Cuba. Besides that, a Cuban cigar represents class, power, sophistication and more importantly, success. Let’s find out why Cuban cigars are so special.

Why are Cuban cigars considered so precious? Well their is a lot that goes into creating one single Cuban cigar. First of all, everything is hand made which automatically raises the value of Cuban cigars. From planting the seeds, to proper cultivation. Second part is when the assembly or ‘construction’ as it’s called is taking place. Cuban cigars are something that is not available everywhere.

Yes the Cuban tobacco might be thousands of years old, the tradition of cigar rolling that we know today can be traced as far back as five centuries. If you keep doing one thing for five hundred years you are bound to become the best at it, an expert if you may. Cubans are hands down the best cigar rollers in the world and have been blessed with the best temperatures too.

Their are hundreds of things that make Cuban cigar special from anything that the world has to offer. The tobacco, the process, the art, the skill, the time that goes into each Cuban cigar is literally legendary. Cuban cigars are nothing short of mini master pieces that we can consume upon requirement. Well at least they are now more easy to get than they were in the past.

Don’t get Cuban cigars if you don’t believe in getting the absolute best this world has to offer. Cuban cigars are only smoked by the elite and professionals who are the movers and shakers of this world. These are people who have a vision and a dream to change their lives and others and they go after it. Are you one of them? Well if you are a Cuban cigar smoker, than you most certainly are. When you are smoking Cuban cigars, you are smoking the best.

Cash Gifting is Converting better then all other programs

by Shannon Bishop

People are spending thousands of dollars on home based businesses every day. Although I do have a high and low ticket program. I like people to focus on cash gifting and getting the same success that I have with my programs. If you are interested in starting your own business check out cash gifting .

Well let me explain, when you come into any business of direct sales you are paying your direct sponsor not the company it self. These companies are just names that were created with excuse products so they can call it a “business” but at the end of the day your telling pretty much gifting your sponsor the total amount to join the “business” right into his bank account. There is nothing wrong with this at all.

Now if you have the resources for them to have a proven off line system in place for them, that is where you will find more success and duplication through your organization. The secret to having success with cash gifting is the resources available to anyone without any experience, but are willing to learn how to make money and create success for them.

Marketing is getting the word out about your program. Marketing is collecting email address and sending you information or your training materials to your prospects. It works. Network marketing has been out since 1998. This way of life is going to continue with or without you. I’m not saying sign up with some average Joe and try to get rich. All I’m saying is join a program with a great support line and training at least 3-5 times a week.

If you don’t know how to do the following things you will fail. Don’t be a part of the 97% that are failing. I want you to succeed. Knowing that there is training and support from me should be weight lifted off your shoulders. I build a professional capture page for my team and I give them training based on their style of marketing. I garunteed your succes.

Getting cheap car insurance when you have zero no claims bonus

by Adrian Pitt

Using this solution can gain you a cheaper car insurance quote and reduce your car insurance in excess of 40%. So long as you read this article and understand it you can save money.

The only catch is that you require a partner who has a decent amount of no claims bonus. You must also share the same address. This method is Multi Car Insurance (today that is – it will probably be called something new next week).

Let us take an example of a lady named Miss Taylor. She is 22 and owns a full license for over 4 years. However she has zero no claims bonus. She owns a Hyundai Getz 1.3 Sport which is parked overnight on the driveway. Online car insurance quotes have thus far given her the cheapest premium of 584 – Not that cheap! These quotes were from top UK insurance companies. Miss Taylor was aware that her boyfriend (Mr Davies) who lives in the same household had 75% no claims bonus. She visited the same high street broker who insured her boyfriend. The broker asked if there were going to be any named drivers on her car insurance policy. When she answered NO, the premium quoted was 624. Whats the big deal? The broker read something from his screen that stated the insurer (in this case Provident) will take into consideration her boyfriend has 75% no claims bonus and has a policy already with them (This is flagged up because they share the same address). She was told if she puts her boyfriend on her policy as a named driver, she can take advantage of his no claims bonus and reduce her previously quoted premium of 624 to an incredible 352 which included legal cover!

This is an easy but effective little tip on how to gain someone elses no claims bonus and this article immediately helps you to get a cheaper car insurance quote. So if you do have no no claims discount just be sure to get an insurance quote from your partners insurer then have your partner as a named driver on the policy.

There are increasing online searches daily relating to this article. Searches such as two car insurance one household, multicar insurance, insure two cars one family, insure two cars per household. The users searching for these terms are only a handful of results so there is a huge gap in the market for the like.

We used an example from a couple who both had policies with a high street broker, A Plan Insurance. The lady in question saved nearly 50% as she previously had zero no claims bonus. In fact she saved around 270 and saved this completely by accident.

Emergency Fund – How to Build One For a Rainy Day

by Landon McGehee

An emergency fund is more like a savings account. Emergency funds give you additional buying power when your income is low, or when you have run out of money. For example, if you have a home, and your furnace breaks down you need money to fix the furnace, this is a good example of when an emergency fund would come in handy. It is difficult to wait until next payday to fix the furnace when it is cold outside and the children are shivering.

How Much Emergency Funds Should You Have

While every financial situation is different it is quite clear that if you were to lose your job you would need at least a few weeks to find a new job. As this is an extreme circumstance, you should have at least six months emergency funds built up to get you through paying your bills until you have a new steady job.

Credit Cards are Not Emergency Funds

Many people use their credit cards to get through ‘times’ when they don’t have enough money but this can be dangerous. It can be dangerous because if you don’t have the income to cover the fees and purchases made on the credit card it is not going to do your finances any good it will only make you fall further behind.

Save for the Rainy Day

The rainy day is when you lose your job. The rainy day is when you broke your arm and can’t go to work. The rainy day is when you were sick for a week and couldn’t get to work at all. All of these are examples of rainy days and reasons for why you should have an emergency fund.

How Much Should You Really Save

Think about all the bills you pay for one month, and then add on to that the things you need for one month. Do you have enough money saved to get you through that if you didn’t have a job or if you couldn’t get to work? Now, think about it if you couldn’t get to work for three months, or six months, and add those figures on a sheet of paper. That new bigger amount is how much you should really consider having in your emergency fund, or if you would like to call it, your rainy day fund. Think of the fund like credit card rewards you can use later.

How Can You Save Money

You can save money every week. While it is difficult to save money all at one time, you can do it over a few months and be prepared for the future. You should consider saving just ten dollars a week, or if you can twenty dollars, and you can build yourself a savings account, an emergency fund over time. Having some amount as a start is going to be better than never starting an emergency fund at all.

Cut back on eating out is a good start in saving money. Cut back on the trips you make in your car that is another way of saving a little money. Cut back on the price of gifts that you give to others, make your gifts more meaningful and less expensive, which will help you save money too. Think about the future and save money at the same time.
