As a teacher (and a father) it’s my fervent hope to impart in my students and children the things in life that are most important which I learned the hard way. Where persuasion is concerned, this is especially the case. I’m not acting as a cop or judging or attempting to monitor my students. I am, however, hoping that the error of my ways can be avoided. A huge part of that is acting and living with integrity.

My sincerest hope as we move forward with these social influences skills, is for you to always apply ethics and integrity.

The practice of integrity and ethics go hand and hand with congruity. Congruency is a key component of persuasion. When someone really screws up and apologizes, you can tell when they’re really sorry and when they’re not.

It is always from a place of integrity and ethics that I operate from not only because I know how powerful persuasion skills are, but because I know how powerful integrity and ethics are. My students hear a lot about integrity as I discuss it often in my coaching program. I promote it wholeheartedly because I know how important they’ve been in my progress as a persuader.

My belief is, that without ethics, integrity and congruity, a sales person will never rise above mediocrity.

Trustworthiness is one of the most valuable perceptions a client or prospect can have of us as people who sell for a living. Their perception needs to be in line with the reality for it to be truly powerful.

When I realized this and started living my life, personally and professionally, with total integrity, I experienced rapid results in all facets of life. I began drawing more of what I wanted in my life. I began drawing higher end students who were infinitely trustworthy and eager and ready for the skills I teach whereas some of my prior clients sadly were not of such a high caliber (as in, not trustworthy and lacking integrity).

Having concentrated with intention on building up that aspect of my life and having an abundance of integrity in the bank is like having built up my ‘f-you’ money. I could walk away from any situation that was not comfortable because I no longer “needed” to take on just anyone but could be very selective in my processes. Consider never compromising yourself again as the first step. It’s an amazing feeling.

How To Train A Dog To Sit In 8 Easy Steps

Teaching your new puppy to sit is undoubtedly one of the most important things you can do and you should begin this rewarding task as soon as you bring him to his new home. The steps below will show you exactly how to train a dog to sit.

1. The first step is easy. Every time the puppy sits by itself, just say sit. This will teach him to associate the word with the action. This technique can actually be used in training your dog to obey all types of commands.

2. Now comes the training part. Take his favorite treat and hold it in your hand. Make sure that it is small enough that the puppy can swallow it fast.

3. Get to the same level as the dog by sitting on the floor. He feels less threatened if you sit. More importantly, you are closer to the dog so he can be rewarded faster.

4. Move the treat over your puppies head, from front to back, slowly. The idea is for the puppy to smell the treat (he will) and follow it with his nose. He has the option of either backing while still standing or sitting down. It’s a lot easier to sit down, so he’ll probably do that.

5. The instant the dog sits, say “sit” and offer the treat. The timing of the reward is the most important part of training. It must be given exactly when the dog does the behavior you want.

6. More than a treat, your dog looks for your approval so you should also reward him with that. Your approval for a job well done should be apparent in both the tone of your voice, and body language.

7. These steps can be repeated about three to five times. Don’t do more than that because they you will take the fun out of it. Although, those same steps can be repeated at different intervals throughout the day.

8. Now try the same thing but standing up. See if you can get the dog to sit without the aid of a treat. When he does, heap on the praise. Be sure that you never punish him if he does not sit, but wait patiently for him to sit and then praise him.

Next, you should strengthen the word so that the dog sits regardless of any distractions. This is a never ending process and you should not cease training. Every new situation should be used to train him. Use new people, new dogs, and new surroundings as training opportunities.

Green Laser Technology Can Enhance The Future

Infrared lasers are electromagnetic radiations with a wavelength longer than seeable light. But they are shorter than microwave radiation. Infrared lasers supply light to the optical fiber communication systems. Infrared lasers, having wavelengths of 1,330 nm or 1,550 nm, are the finest options for typical silica fibers. Infrared lasers are also used for welding, cutting and engraving of materials. They provide high power and fine band tunable light. Therefore infrared lasers are useful in photo acoustic (PA) techniques. At present CO2 and CO lasers are usually used as light source in PA detection of gases. The reason is that these lasers offer comparatively high power.

Green lasers are the type of laser whose wavelength is in the green spectral region between 510 nm and 570 nm. Laser pointers, laser projection displays, and interferometers use green laser technology. Also, when pumping solid-state lasers such as Ti-sapphire lasers, green laser technology is used. Since they have a much higher absorption coefficient when compared to near-infrared lasers, green lasers are also used in processing of different types of materials like copper, gold and silicon.

The range of applications for Green lasers is limited, because they carry a low spectrum range. Still, they are the most common visible lasers due to their uniqueness.

Green is the brightest color in the visible light spectrum with its wavelength of 532nm. When a laser is used to flux this light into a high power output projected as laser beam, it gets the brightest possible laser light frequency. Because of this feature green laser pointers are the most popular form of hand held laser technology available in the market today.

Argon-ion lasers, one of the most common lasers, are created with the amplification of light in argon plasma that is formed with an electrical discharge. Since they can achieve the highest amount of power at 514 nm, they are potent light sources for various wavelengths. Green lasers, on the other hand, easily exceed this limit. But the drawbacks are that it would have to have high electrical power usage of many kilowatts, and a significant increase in the magnitude of the cooling systems. For generating green laser beams at 10 mille watts, small air-cooled tubes are used which require hundreds of watts of electrical power. The tube’s operational life is only a few thousand hours. So they are to be changed very frequently and are very expensive to acquire.

Research scientists are working on a number of projects for developing a mechanism that will enable the transmission of electronic data via green lasers. This mechanism, if successfully developed at affordable costs, will change the way people communicate with each other.

Green laser beams, despite being visually spectacular and highly useful in many professional fields, is also cause for extreme caution. If a 532 nm green laser were to directly shine into a person’s eye, there is a possibility of laser retinal damage. In order to avoid any green laser eye damage, be sure to take proper safety measures. All green lasers should include standard safety features, but it is ultimately the responsibility of the user to be sure that all spectators and themselves are safe.

Rather than hoping for the one next ‘big thing’ which may never happen, it could be much more productive to work on small achievable steps they can build over time into a substantial income

How Much Lead Time You Should Give Yourself Developing Products

Sometimes you come across those business questions that just have you stumped or slow down your progress. Personally, this has happened to me, especially when I was just starting my online marketing business. Within this article I’m going to answer two of the questions I had about creating products, hoping to help you with your business success.

First question:

When launching a product that includes teleseminars and monthly send outs, how much of the product should I have completed and how much lead time should I allow?

Product creation will always take longer then you expect, so make sure you try and give yourself as much lead time as possible.

For example, if it is a 12 month course, I would give yourself at least a three to four month buffer and then I would stay ahead three to four months throughout the entire course. I think that way that is a real safe zone.

That is the reality of product development, you never really know how long it will take you because of the unforeseen difficulties. It would be great to get products created really quickly, but usually there are hiccups along the way with delivery or packaging.

So the reality is expect it to take longer than you think and give yourself a buffer zone and try to get the product created as quick as possible. That is going to be your number one focus as far as just getting it complete and staying ahead.

Second question:

If I’m an expert on a topic, what would be a really quick way to create a product?

There are a variety of ways to do this, even when you may not be an expert on the topic. A teleseminar series is a very easy and fast method of creating a product. From personal experience, I have just started selling courses for the first time as a a teleseminar series. From those calls I can then turn them into a series of products. Those calls that not been created before, but as soon as they were conducted, those calls were transcribed and a course was built from there.

This is definitely something you can do and a method that I would suggest to make things easier is to map out what content you want to teach about and put it in a modular format. This model makes it easy to create content. Once you have a major topic for a particular module you can then dive deep into all the individual strategies that fit under that category. You can really crank out a lot of valuable information pretty quickly this way and by using the call itself to create the content you don’t have to have it ahead of time.
