Excel’s AutoSum tool is used to automatically generate formulas. It is found in two locations on the ribbon: firstly in the Editing section of the Home Tab; and, secondly in the Function Library section of the Formulas Tab.
The AutoSum tool has several uses. Firstly you can use it to generate the total or SUM of a series of numbers. To do this, you can select a row of cells and click once on the AutoSum tool. Excel places the total of the highlighted cells in the first available empty cell to the right of the highlighted range. You can then copy the formula by using the Autofill handle. As you drag down, Excel will copy the formula making the changes necessary to return the correct total for each row.
The AutoSum tool can also be used to calculate the total of several columns simultaneously. To do this, select all the data in all the columns you wish to total and then click once on the AutoSum tool. Excel creates a formula at the bottom of each column in the first vacant cell.
Clicking on the AutoSum tool always generates a formula using the SUM function which returns the total of a given range of cells. However the AutoSum tool can also be used with other functions: for example, AVERAGE. To access these other functions, click on the drop-down menu to the right of the AutoSum tool, choose the appropriate function and then check to see whether Excel has correctly guessed the range of cells you want to apply the function to.
If Excel has not guessed the cells you wish to analyse, you can correct it: either by keying in the correct reference or by resizing the range-selection rectangle until it encloses the correct cells. The formula can then be copied using the AutoFill handle.
The AVERAGE function is notorious for returning too many decimal places. If you want a consistent number of decimals, click on the Launch button in the Number section of the Home Tab, choose “Number” as the category and then specify the number of decimal places you like.
The other functions available on the AutoSum tool are COUNT, which returns the number of cells in the highlighted range containing numbers; MAX, which calculates the highest value in the range; and MIN which gives the lowest value. The last option in the AutoSum tool drop-down menu is “Other Functions”, which gives you access to Excel’s full range of functions.

One of the key to success that all top affiliate marketers use is tracking where their sales originate from and dropping those forms of advertising that do not work. Of course affiliate marketing allows anyone to work for as many companies as they wish which could not be realistically achieved anywhere else. 1. Headline: 5 times more people read the headline than will read body copy. If the reader likes the Headline they will read the rest of the ad. The Headline is what sparks their curiosity. It should be simple and clearly why the product interests the consumer.
2. News and headlines: Readers buy consumer magazines and newspapers to read the articles. If you have real news such as updates to your product or service or recent innovations make sure you put them in the headline.
3. How many words in a headline? Research conducted with cooperation from a large department store found that headlines of ten words or longer sold more products than short headlines. In terms of recall, headlines between eight and ten words work the best. On average, long headlines sell more goods than short ones – headlines like David Ogilvy’s “At 60 miles an hour, the loudest noise in this new Rolls-Royce comes from the electric clock.” have been remembered for years.
4. Talk to Your Prospects: When a specific group consumes your product; Speak to them in your headline – boaters, Seniors, business owners?
5. If the Reader is Interested THey Will Read Long Copy: Readership declines rapidly after fifty words, but continues steadily between 50 and 500 words. Potential buyers will read further into an ad. 6. Before and AfterAds: Before and after ads are above average in grabbing the readers attention. Contrast seems to work well. If then seems to be well understood by the consumer.
7. Photographs vs. drawings: Photographs work better than Art almost all the time. People like to feel thins are “real.” The photograph should help pull readers in. Plus it must be pertinent to the product you are selling. The photograph must have story appeal.
8. Captions: Twice as many people read the captions under photographs as read the body copies. Never place a photo without a caption. Because Associated Press Style calls for captions under photos people expect it.
9. Editorial layout vs. Addy Layout: The more the ad looks like the editorial in the magazine generally the higher the readership. The addy layout is much easier to get approved by the CEO of the company you are representing. A good ad agency will take the time to explain to the CEO that they know much more about their product that the consumer.
10. Test and Retest Readership has been known to increase with repetition. Continually test new ads against the old ones and run the winner.

Some people become very confused when you mention rental insurance but it isn’t difficult to explain and all of us have been in the position of renting equipment that could get damaged. Rental insurance covers the repair or replacement costs caused by damage or theft of an item you are renting.
Take the situation of someone who is renting accommodation for instance where they truly believe that they are protected by the landlord’s insurance policy.
The fact is, though, that you’re not; a landlord’s property insurance covers damage to the structure of the property itself.
Of course, buildings insurance will not cover any personal belongings or any liability on your part so if property is lost or stolen, it is renters insurance that covers the cost. You may be liable for any damage done to the apartment or house you’re renting as a result of fire due to your negligence.
There is in fact another reason to organizing renters insurance. If someone is hurt or injured while on the property you are renting, you may be legally responsible for that person’s medical expenses, not mention attorney fees if there’s a dispute. A worst case scenario is where the person might even take you to court so by having renters insurance, not only would medical expenses be covered but also the cost of the attorney and any other expenses claimed.
Although some people are covered when they rent a car, this is not always the case so if your auto insurance doesn’t have this facility as part of the cover, you will need to arrange this yourself unless your credit card provides auto rental insurance cover. If you aren’t covered under your own insurance or credit card then you could consider purchasing the collision damage waiver as it is a better option to pay about 7 to 13 dollars a day than 10,000 to 30,000 dollars to replace the rental car.
Of course there are many more areas where rental insurance can be used even if you are renting sports equipment for a vacation. Renters insurance provides a peace of mind and that has got to be worth a few dollars a day, whoever you are. Obviously like any insurance policy, the amount will vary according to where you live, any extras you want to add and how much deductible you decide to arrange. The best thing to do is look online and arrange the highest deductible you can afford as this will reduce the premium considerably.
