The hybrid car engine holds the key to its being an environment-friendly vehicle. They are a combination of a gas engine and an electric motor that assists a car as it accelerates, slows down and even when it stops. Throughout all these basic actions, the hybrid car engine plays a major role so that the least amount of gas is used and cleaner emissions achieved.

Breaking It Down

Because of the hybrid car’s gas-electric engine, it can run both on gas and electricity. A gas-powered car has a fuel tank and it is this tank that supplies the engine with the gasoline it needs to run. The engine then turns a transmission which is what it essentially behind the turning of wheels.

An electric car’s motor is powered by a set of batteries. In this case, it is the electric motor that turns the transmission that turns the wheels. Since it doesn’t run on gas alone, hybrid motor almost doesn’t produce any pollution at all. But an electric car can only go so far before having to be charged again. Now, by combining these two functions into one, a hybrid car engine attempts to increase mileage while reducing emissions of a gas-powered car and also reducing the use of large amounts of fuel. And to make up for the electric motor having to be charged, it is now left to the gas-powered engine and transmission to charge the cells in the batteries found in a hybrid electric vehicle. It’s a simple solution that has had great and positive effects with respect to fuel economy and eco-friendliness.

The hybrid car engine is known to help keep carbon dioxide emissions down, and thus, keep pollution at minimum level as well. But most importantly (to average consumers), hybrid cars can save you money gas and maintenance costs. The engines of these cars are quite small and easy to manage so they last for a very long time and are quite durable.

Considering that many car manufacturers offer free parts replacements on hybrid models, this is probably the best purchase that you can make when considering what car to buy. There is also the added tax break that the US government has promised to all owners of new hybrid vehicles purchased after January 1 2006.

The hybrid car engine is a technology that has been embraced by both car manufacturer and consumer as a means to save the environment from further damage and a cost efficient way to save the planet from the depleting resource of fossil fuels. It is perhaps one of the most overlooked technologies in the world but a growing awareness of these vehicles will eventually lead to a future of more hybrid electric vehicles on city streets and highways.

Here is Part 3 of ‘3 Ways To Improve Search Engine Rankings’ with follows on from Parts 1 and 2. The simple 3-Stage Approach I use to getting highly ranked in the search engines is something anyone can do. Here, in Part 3, is my third Stage…

Stage 3. Aim to make your website ‘The Most Popular In Your Class’:

Stage 3 of my simple 3-Stage approach to getting my websites highly ranked in the search engines, is crucial because it’s the element that contributes about 85% towards how high a website is ranked up the search results.

I refer to it as getting your website to be ‘the most popular in the class’. What do I mean by that? Well, think about being at school, and being popular with everyone else was more about being what they wanted you to be. If you were how they wanted you to be, and they liked you, then ultimately you were perceived as popular. Fickle I know. And the more folks who thought you were really good, the more popular you became with everyone in your class, and more likely the school.

Same goes for your website – the more other websites like you, the more popular your website is going to appear to the search engines, and thus the more popular you are perceived to be for the information the searcher is looking for.

So, million dollar question – how do you get popular with a bunch of other websites? Two things, and they are equally as important…

a) You need to get quality websites linking to your website. b) The websites that are linking to your website need to be as relevant as possible to the information on your website.

Let’s cover both of these…

One of the most effective things you can do to help your website get ranked is to get as many other quality websites linking back to yours, from links on their websites. Quite simply the more links pointing back to your website, the better.

But links alone are not enough – the links need to be on quality websites that in themselves carry good content, and the link is from a website that is relevant to what is on your website.

So, why is the amount of links, and they relevancy of the linking website important to search engines? They see it this way – the more links from high-quality web sites that point to your website, gives a strong indication that what is on your website is all relevant information. They also look at the link itself and that if it’s on a website that is relevant to your website, the search engines effectively say to themselves the website with the link is offering what is like a strong referral again about the quality of what’s on your website…

…and the more websites giving you these ‘referrals’ (links), the more the search engines rate your site, and so the higher it appears on the search results.

Obviously getting these quality one-way links is the key, as they play a massive part in where your website ranks in the search results.

How do you get them?… That’s the tricky bit – the ‘scenic’ route is to write, call, bug and drive webmasters nuts, who have relevant sites to yours, to ask them to add your link on their website linking back to your site. Be prepared, that can be a long job, requiring a great deal of patience and resilience, as these webmasters are constantly getting asked for exactly that.

The other way is to use a specialist, who has demonstrated they know how to get these links, and they then focus on getting the links for you.

However you do it, getting these links is vital to getting high up the search results and enjoying all that ‘free traffic’ from organic search, as millions around the world type into the search services…

The traps, as they are commonly called, are the Trapezius muscles. They connect your back and your neck (to put it simply). Most often they are trained when working out the shoulders or back. There are only a few exercises you can use to train these muscles. But don’t let that put you off. You can achieve massive growth in this are using just a few simple movements. Often it’s enough to simply do a few shrugs after your main workout exercises.

The main movements that utilise the traps are the Shrug, and The Upright Row.

The first exercise is the shrug.

This exercise should be done with dumbbells or a barbell. It is possible to do these exercises in the front or in the back.

All you will have to do is hold the weight and shrug your shoulders. That is all you have to do. Some bodybuilders will use a variation of this exercise by rolling the shoulders instead of simply lifting them up and down. All you do to do this is roll your shoulders when you are performing the shrug.

Here is how the shrug is done.

1. Grab the weight and hold it at arms length in front of your body using an overhand grip

2. Lift your shoulders and try and touch them to your ears.

3. Hold your shoulders up and then lower them slowly, repeat the movement.

One of the most important parts of this exercise is the amount of control that you use when you are lifting your shoulders. Avoid straining the neck and keep control over the movement. You can use a very heavy weight because of the small range of motion. There are other exercises that you can do, including the upright row. This is often used as a part of the shoulder exercise and it can work the traps and the shoulders at the same time.

Here is how the upright row is done:

1. You should use a wide grip if you are going to be giving the traps a greater intensity.

2. You should hold the bar in front near to your thighs

3. Lift the bar straight up along the line of your body until you get to about the hight of your chin

4. Hold the bar in place and slowly lower the bar, repeat the movement.

Make sure that you keep your elbows higher than the bar while you are doing the exercise. When you use these two exercises and make sure that you perform shoulder exercises as well, you will be getting a strong neck and trap muscles for your efforts.
