In this day and age there are not many things that are absolutely free, well, free classified ads are one those things in life that are positively free! These classified ads have been around for as long as most of us can remember and the benefits for these ads are absolutely countless. Free classified ads are multipurpose and there are so many situations in which they will be helpful.

Classified ads, when written correctly, can catch someone’s eye with relative ease. As well, you can write a description in just a few lines, rather than a few pages or even several paragraphs. The brevity also serves to make them popular. Naturally, they also represent tremendous opportunity. This was not always the case. It used to be that you could only rely on ads in newspapers. If you were not in the circulation area of a certain paper, you were out of luck. Similarly, you had to realize that you would only be reaching people who read the paper in which you placed your ad.

Another great idea is posting your ad on the Internet. Since the Internet boomed it has opened up so many different options for local and world-wide advertising. For instance, if you live in Detroit, you ad could be read by someone in California. While some of the websites that these types of ads are posted charge, there are many different websites that offer to post your ad for free!

You can do a number of different things with classified ads. Maybe you are trying to sell a product. Perhaps you are trying to sell a service. Similarly, perhaps you are looking for a product or service. Some people even sell themselves – i.e., they will use the classifieds to get traffic to their web sites. This is good for product and service web sites and even blog sites. The benefit here is that the ad is free, so the income generated from the extra traffic is all yours.

As mentioned, people also use the classifieds to sell things. This might be service or it might be a product. Heck, you could sell a living room set or a refrigerator through the classifieds. If you are a carpenter, you could advertise your services. If you are a writer, you could advertise that as well. If you provide a service which can be done from anywhere, especially, then your target market can grow exponentially.

Of course people do not just sell themselves, as it were. They sell any number of products as well. Whatever you are selling should be easy to ship – unless of course the buyer is willing to pay for shipping. Regardless, you will reach many more people with a classified ad.

If people can sell items in the classified ads, then naturally they can also buy things. You might not want to buy a car through the classifieds if you live in Florida and the car is in Washington state, but otherwise the classified world is your oyster. You can find just about anything from products to services rendered.

It is easy to see why free classified advertisements endure. They are one of the easiest ways to buy, sell, and find what you are looking for – no matter what it is.

Being new in the working world, I am sure you are eager to show off your newfound skills and knowledge. However, out there in the working world some basic work effective habits can increase your productivity. By being consistently effective at your work increases your chances of success in your career.

The 5 effective work habits are

1. Volunteer for Assignments

One of the best ways to signal that you are a keen learner and are not afraid of hard work is to volunteer for assignments. Especially assignments that no one seems interested to do. However, before that do assess your own skills and knowledge to see if you can confidently accomplish it. If you are confident in completing the task in full and perfection, go ahead and volunteer for it. However, do remember one thing. Under promise and over deliver on the assignment you volunteered. Do not be too confident that you turn a perfect opportunity into mess. Once you start the project, see it till the end. You would be seen as someone who is courageous enough to take on additional assignments. You would also be seen as someone who follows through in your work. This is the first habit you need to internalize.

2. Be Nice to People

I am sure we have all heard this often enough. Be nice to people regardless of their rank and designation. It sounds philosophical but when you are nice to people they go out of their way to help you. And being new in an organization you would never know what sort of help you would need. Colleagues often like to work with nice talented people. When you have this effective work habit you increase the chances of people wanting you to work on their team.

Being nice to people is just common courtesy. There is nothing extra ordinary about this particular habit that you need special skills. A smile in the morning and a “Good Morning” is a good start. In this day and age, people working in pressurized environments often use stress as an excuse when they blow up. Is this necessary? Nice is often reciprocated by nice. In fact, it can lower your stress level.

3. Prioritize Your Work

We all love to start work on things that are close to our hearts. However, often these may not be the most urgent and important in our list of tasks in the workplace. When you select things you are more interested in rather than work that is more important or urgent, you lower your chances of success.

Have a list of things to do according to its strategic importance to your company. Know your role in completing the tasks at hand in order to achieve that corporate goal. When you prioritize your work, you are more productive and that increases your chances of career success.

4. Stay Positive

As someone new in the working world it is very easy to feel down because you are new. You are not used to the work system. You have new people to deal with and people in the working world who behave very differently from school. It takes a lot of getting used to. There will be office politics to deal with regardless of how little.

Be above all these and stay positive in the face of challenges. When you are positive you remain focused on your goals. You make better decisions and therefore become more productive.

5. Highlight a Problem but Bring Solutions

The last effective work habit of the five effective work habits is to bring solutions each time you highlight a problem to your boss or management. You need to remember that when you bring problems and not solutions, it is often construed as complaining.

To avoid that label, offer solutions. A range of possible solutions also indicates to your boss that you have thought this through before approaching him/her with a problem. Have in mind a recommended solution amongst those you suggested.

These are the 5 effective work habits I constantly drill into new employees who are fresh graduates in our company. At first glance, these may seem like common sense. However, in actual working environment people tend to sometimes forget these very basic effective work habits, and don’t practice them often enough. Internalize these and consistently practice them to increase your chances of success.

Prior to the introduction of CD/DVD mass-production, less sophisticated means, such as vinyl records, tapes and VHS were used to mass-produce music and movies. But now, with the revolution of CD and DVD manufacturing, we take a step up. Music and movie fans no longer have to purchase bulky records or poorly manufactured tapes in order to listen to music or enjoy their favorite movies. With the birth of the compact disc, anyone can easily slip this small, shiny circle into their car stereo or home entertainment center for their listening and/or viewing pleasure. But how did the mass-production of CDs and DVDs become such a powerful force in the world? What was the indispensable step that made the manufacturing of CDs and DVDs possible, and in the process shaped a new mold for the way the world enjoys its entertainment?

For the people who would like to learn the answers to these questions, it must first be understood that the process of manufacturing CDs and DVDs is complicated. Remarkable chemical processes combined with complex and time-consuming procedures are the ingredients that go into the formation of a disc. In examining the rise of CD/DVD technology, it is crucial to understand the process of replication. When manufacturing discs, many steps take place: glass mastering, photoresist or non-photoresist mastering, post mastering, and electroforming. The most vital step, however, in the manufacturing process is replication.

Replication of CDs and DVDs is the step that takes place after the quality of the glass master has been determined to be ready for large-scale production. This is the critical point in the manufacturing process. It is the point in which the album creates a super-star out of a singer. CD and DVD replication has made it possible for listeners from Tokyo to New York and everywhere in between to have access to the same discs. It is a process that has truly revolutionized the fashion in which the world listens to music and sees movies.

What exactly goes into the replication process? It involves a few steps, each of which must be understood to learn how replication works. Replication begins in a factory with a CD molding machine. This machine uses exceedingly high-temperature polycarbonate injectors. Hot molten plastic is inserted into the mold cavities forming a disc. Each molding can produce 900 discs per hour! Cool water is then run so that it gathers around the molding, solidifying the plastic and the molding is then opened. This entire process takes just three to five seconds.

Next, after molding, a vacuum handler moves the disc onto a cooling station. The disc now contains all of its digital information at this point, but does not yet have the reflective layer that makes the disc playable. Then the disc passes into a chamber to undergo a process called “sputtering”. During the sputtering process, metal is coated onto the data side of the disc; the side not containing the record label.

Next, lacquer is coated onto the metal layer providing a surface for printing the DVD or record label. The printing ink must be compatible with the lacquer. If not, the disc may fracture and become ruined. This is also true for CD and DVD owners. Pens used to write on discs must be compatible for the same reason. This completes the replication process.

Replication has been instrumental in the mass-production of CDs and DVDs. It has altered the way we listen to and view entertainment. The next time you head down to the record store to buy that hot new CD or the latest DVD release, take a moment to think about the replication process. It has truly allowed CD/DVD manufacturing to be driving force in the world of entertainment.
