Any communication, regardless of the medium, initiated for the purpose of advertising availability or quality of any property, goods, or services, but such term does not include a communication (A) to any person with that person’s prior express invitation or permission, (B) to any person with whom the party has an established business relationship.

The benchmark is a standard or point of reference and in terms of measuring marketing performance, benchmarks are crucial. Benchmarking is the better marketing measurement campaign that aims to use measurement to prove the link between marketing and profit. In the case of education, measurement techniques can be used to prove the link between marketing and student recruitment, external income generation, or whatever the marketing activity has set out to achieve.

However, the task of measuring marketing performance is not an easy one marketing activities take place at a number of different levels, operational, tactical and strategic. In the case of the latter the effects are longer term and less easy to monitor. Proving the link between marketing and profit is not the only reason for measuring marketing performance. If you do not know how effective different activities or initiatives have been then it is not possible to make improvements and ultimately increase value for money with regard to marketing expenditure and deployment of resources.

The task for marketers is to consider how can we measure the effectiveness of what we are doing? The starting point of any measurement has to be establishing a benchmark. From my experience of working within education marketing, increasing numbers of marketers are investigating marketing performance at a tactical level by measuring the effectiveness of specific and discrete campaigns using response mechanisms built into the promotion or admissions procedures. It is important to establish the baseline at the start what would have been achieved without the activity? In the case of introducing new techniques for an annual campaign, the benchmark will be the level of enquiries and/or numbers of students enrolled in the previous year(s).

However, in evaluating effectiveness, other aspects which may impact upon changes in response must also be noted and taken into account. Other marketers are starting to look more broadly at the range of activities that impact on success in terms of student recruitment. A strategic approach to portfolio management, enquiry management systems, improved relationship marketing and better targeting of marketing activities can result in reductions in the numbers of course failures, increasing share of applications, improved conversion, reduced spend in Clearing, achievement of target numbers and reductions in drop-outs.

The difficulty comes in proving the links. Crucial to this is the auditing of current activities and performance levels. The institution needs to be clear on how it is currently performing, and this needs to be built up from school/department level as activities and performance will probably differ. This will determine the current position from which to evaluate future performance.

When you start out trading it is important that you set up some rules and guidelines for how you are going to trade. As without rules and guidelines you are trading without a goal in mind. 1. You should never over-trade- Don’t trade for trades sake 2. Make sure that you never risk more than 10% of your trading capital in a single trade, protecting your capital is very important. There will be more trade opportunities 3. Ensure that you never trade without protective stops and use trailing stops 4. Don’t cancel a stop-loss after placing the trade- otherwise get out 5. Never average down on a losing trade 6. When you get into a profit never let it run into a loss. 7. Never buy or sell just because the price is low or high, as what is high and low 8. Never try to guess tops or bottoms- otherwise go to the casino and pick black or red 9. You should never limit a profiting trade, instead move your stops to guarantee a profit- ideal trading is as soon as you get into a good profit at aleast ensure a break even 10. You should never close a position toget out of the market because you have lost patience or get in because you are anxious from waiting. 11. Please never hedge a losing position. 12. Never change your position or close a trade without a good reason. 13. Never follow a blind man’s advice, everyone has trading sure things. Use systematically approach 14. Make sure that you never enter a trade if you are unsure of the trend. Never buck a trend. Remember the rule TREND IS YOUR FRIEND 15. Try to avoid scalping for small profits and taking large losses if you scalp you need tight stops 16. Avoid trading after long periods of failure- take a break, reasses and reset your rules 17. If you have a great run don’t keep increasing your trade size 18. Avoid getting in wrong or getting in right and out wrong, making a double mistake. 19. Always identify strong support/resistance levels. 20. Always lock in a profit at predetermined increments on profiting trades. 21. EVERY trade must have stop losses 22. Always distribute your risk equally among different markets. 23. Don’t be a one trick pony, make money from both sides of the market 24. Always reduce trading after the first loss; never increase. 25. Always cut your losses short and let your profits run. 26. When in doubt, get out. Do not get in when in doubt. 27. Only trade active markets- illiquid markets will leave you thirsty 28. Only pyramid trades that have a strong trend and should be accomplished once the price has crossed support/resistance. 29. Profits from a successful trade should be kept for future trade margins or put somewhere else, spread the risk.

Some Further Guide lines

Who are you? Are you a risk taker? Can you afford to lose money? First thing to do is to understand yourself the type of trader that you are, whether aggressive or conservative, long-term or short. If you are short term and trade goes bad, cut it, don’t become a long term trader, otherwise you buying and hoping, not even buying and holding. Have a trading strategy before entering the market. Know before the trade is executed where you will take profits/loss. Understand why a win/loss occurred and how you could of made the trade better. Consistency is the key to trading success, without it you have nothing. Your judgment is the only concern, do not let outside factors affect the way you trade. Not everyone can be a trader, deem yourself worthy if given this opportunity.

Looks like Dave Espino has gone from selling you an e-book on how to get rich on eBay to trying to get you to set up your own web site and “make it big” to the tune of $5,000.00.

Dave Espino is a big scam artist. I fell victim to his useless product about getting rich selling on EBAY a few months ago. It was only a way for Dave to try to sell more useless services. His people would not stop calling me trying to convince me to spend $5000 more to set up my own website and supposedly make it big. When I refused to listen to their sales pitch they got furious and called me names. These people are nothing but scam artists!

The one thing I do know about sales, of any kind, is that you have to have a product. A GOOD PRODUCT!

Any product that is a piece of “crap” will not get you the Happy Customer you want.

Why do you want a happy customer? As I said a Happy Customer will tell their friends about the great whatever they bought at a good price.

After reading what “Joseph” from Carlsbad has to say Dave Espino needs to find out about “Happy Customers” and how they can help you, the seller.

Dave Espino also needs for know just how much “Unhappy Customers” can hurt you, the seller.

Of course that’s only if Mr. Espino really cares about you except as a means to increase his bank account.

Dave Espino is just one more of the on-line Guru’s who has come up with a package or program to sell you that if you had taken your time and did a little research you could have found either online or in a library

Like most of the Scammers , Dave targets the blue colour crowd, people struggling and looking for a straw. His presentation is basic, repetitive and gradually entices to go one step further by promissing a bucket of gold at the end of having handed him hundreds of $. He offers no real solutions, no body needs his E-Bay advise as it is free for the asking and the State will walk anybody through a business reg. Free!

His type of listing service can be accessed Free on Auctiva.com, it beats anything on the Internet, product services are available through National service providers, Free in the local Library! Trade shows are cheap and a good source for a business minded person.

The only thing that sets Dave apart, is that he does not operate from UTAH or Florida ,were most of the Scammers call home. Want advise , go to your local Library and do not answer any call from an 801 area code, you will regret it! To build a business one has to learn the art and the Internet offers a lot of legitimate advise, if it sounds easy =scam.

Dave Espino, if you read this I have two questions I would like you to answer. Does your mother know what you do to make money? If so, is she proud of you?

Most veteran PC gamers know exactly what they want in a gaming laptop, and those who have the time and money have probably already built their dream computer themselves, but if you are a little newer to the field, a little more fond of the smaller notebook footprint, or a little less comfortable with a do-it-yourself computer, you need to be armed with these basic facts before purchasing your gaming laptop.

The three most important components for any high-end laptop are the processor, RAM and graphics card. Since you are building a gaming rig, you will want to focus on your graphics card first and foremost. The next most important component is your processor. Dual-core CPUs are the hottest thing out right now.
