What your Thoughts Loral Langemeir ?

by Hot Biz Ghost Writer

I think it’s time to take another look a Loral Langemeier, the founder and CEO of Live Out Loud.

Since the first review of Loral Langemeier I have recently found a couple of reviews from people who have had opportunity(?) to become involved with Loral Langemeier.

Bruce from New Bedford, Ma

I’ve read a couple of Loral’s books and I concur that Loral comes up short on details. Just like a lot of other self-proclaimed guru’s, Loral’s writings are always pointing you to her staff which leads to more money in her pocket and less in yours. Cha ching for Loral.

Just because Loral is a woman in a male dominated business doesn’t excuse what she is doing. Bruce

Jaye from CA

I got sucked in for over $400 on Loral’s cd’s and dvd’s which were way overpriced and vague. It is just a way to get you to invest thousands ($9,000 to $17,000) on their “millionaire coaches”. How is a company supposed to help you financially when they already have you $17,000 in the hole?

Mike from Colorado

I just got off the phone with one her millionaires and he went thru want they are looking for in a person to join their team and Loral’s “Big Table”. For those of you who do not know what the big table is, it is the elite or elites in Lorals eyes. The ones who have made it, multi-millionaire status. It seems to get to this point it usually takes 3-5 yr with $300k-$300K/passive income PLUS $2M in assets.

I have heard quite a few investment speakers and they all say the same thing and promise you the world.

So my advise is save your money and try to hang out with other people that have actually made it and not just over the phone.

The one thing and one of my final questions was well it all sounds good, but please provide me with references that have gone thru this program and have made it? The interviewer declines to give me any names. Now would you buy something like this if you really couldn’t check it out. I mean you wouldn’t hire a contractor for a house improvement without references would you.

Again, I believe one can attain this kind of status and financial freedom, but be careful on whom you trust.

Sure doesn’t look to me like Loral Langemeier has done anything new and just keeps on doing the same old same old.

Loral Langemeier, the founder and CEO of Live Out Loud, has written “The Millionaire Maker” and “Guerilla Wealth” as well as creating many different educational programs. In addition to the various seminars and workshops, there are also free teleseminars available on Loral’s website.

While Loral Langemeier seems to have a decent following and respect among her peers, some people are of the opinion that the information provided by Loral in her books is simplistic, contains too much jargon for different processes and the tips given are just not realistic and could even cause potential financial harm.

There are both positive and negative aspects to Loral Langemeier’s products and seminars. For example she adamantly supports starting your own business, but the information on how to do so is absent in her books.

Some of Loral Langemeier’s advice is oversimplified and at times misleading. She touts starting your own corporation as great way to take advantage of tax deductions. This will not work since these deductions must be verifiable business expenses.

Loral Langemeier’s team building advice is also very unrealistic. She proposes that every one should have a support team of Lawyers, CPAs, Brokers, and Investors.

Unless you have a family full of professionals what she recommends is unrealistic. These people charge a lot of money for their services and the chances of them spending their time mentoring strangers is slim and none.

The redeemable qualities of Loral Langemeier’s work can be found in its motivational capabilities. If her books or seminars can get you to actually pursue a business opportunity or research an investment vehicle then they can be called a success.

Some people think that this type of information is worth the price, but others don’t.

5 Reasons Why You Can’t Get Oil Drilling Jobs

by katie George

Did you hear that there are plenty of jobs in the oil fields, but can’t seem to get rig employment yourself? Maybe you are making one of these 5 mistakes:

1. Rig employment in some locations is seasonal. For example, oil drilling jobs in northern Canada only exist in the winter months of November to March when the ground is frozen. They pay their workers hourly. There are no jobs the rest of the year. Ditto offshore oil jobs in certain parts of the North Sea, which is also seasonal.

2. Are you a foreigner? In many places with an extended oil boom, there is a serious shortage of housing. Even if you can find a place to stay, the rent is very expensive. For example, renting a one bedroom apartment in Calgary (Canada) can cost you $1500 and up per month. Not every oil company or drilling contractor offers staff accommodation, especially for families. If you don’t have a place to stay, don’t expect to get a job. It can be a good idea to find a place to stay before you start looking for a job.

3. Are you directly chasing the oil companies like Shell? You may have better luck with the drilling contractors. Nowadays, most oil companies do not operate their oil rigs themselves. Instead, they outsource these oil drilling jobs to smaller offshore drilling companies and oil service contractors. In the US, job seekers who drive around the oil rigs talking to the foremen (toolpushers/drillers) have found great success getting jobs.

4. Do you have the right background? Oil drilling jobs are very physically demanding. If you do not have any direct experience in the oil field, then the oil drilling companies prefer people who are proven to be tough and self-sufficient. More than a few ex-soldiers have successfully found rig employment once they left the army. Are you trying to get offshore oil jobs when you do not have any experience? Try to get oil rig jobs on land before you try to go offshore.

5. Do you have the right expectations? You may have to work night shifts. Many rigs have a two weeks on, two weeks off rotation. But some can be as extreme as 6 weeks on, 6 weeks off. You will have to work under extreme weather conditions. If you can’t convince your interviewers that you can handle these difficulties, you will not get your job.

How to Go From a Job to a Career – 3 Simple Tips

by katie George

Ever wonder why so many people job shift. The easy answer is: “I am tired of working like a dog, and getting nowhere.” Translation – they are changing jobs because they don’t have a career.

A job can be found nearly anywhere. However, a career is a long term commitment between an employer and employee. Careers aren’t handed out, they are earned. Here are three simple tips to turn any job into a career.

Take a vested interest in the company!

If you want an employer to value you, then you must give them a reason to value your work, knowledge, and skill. I don’t mean just being efficient at your job. It doesn’t matter how efficient you are at your chosen profession, if you don’t know the specific regulations, policies, core values, mission, etc.. of the employer.

Show that you care!

An employer can tell who is there for just another paycheck. A person who is trying to make a career will be more than willing to do their part in good, and bad times. The employee that goes the extra mile to cut cost, stay late, forgo a raise, etc.. in bad times, will be the person the company will remember in good times.

Be a team player!

The employee that calls in sick with every head cold, shows up late every other morning, takes long lunches, etc.. is not going to be seen as a dedicated employee. All of these things put a stress on someone else; causing other employees to take up the slack.

Furthermore, go beyond what is expected of you. Take the initiative to do the things, that you know will be asked of you, before it is asked. If you see that another employee is swamped, and it is something that you are capable and free to do, then help before you are asked to do so.

4 Ways To Harness Opportunity Marketing On The Internet

by Yasmine Tay

The advent of the Internet and its other components has enhanced the marketing opportunities also set the new targets for the marketers. This may be changing the definition, meaning, understanding and practice of PR because cyberspace is not physical, geometric or geographic. Time and space no longer limit the amount of information and audience size.

PR audience is becoming more diverse in an increasingly integrated global economy, with the attendant cultural barriers. Among others, Internet is enhancing interactivity, PR feedback and evaluation, and virtual story telling. It is extending PR outreach programs, though in a more depersonalized and transitory environment. The new medium is providing enhanced information delivery systems, not available just few years ago.

A new societal communication culture has emerged because the new information technology is providing all with the easy access to vehicles of mass communication, which historically belonged to just few institutions. This contemporary social reality discourages PR practitioners to adopt the one-way communication model. Modern information technology is creating a new corporate communication landscape. It is affecting communication channels, corporate audience identification, mode and methods of communication, message content and form, communication feedback and corporate personae. It is impacting shared meaning of message, information packaging, strategic information management and corporate identity.

There is also the need to carefully investigate how corporations can now manage public issues, advocacy role and reaction to emerging and sustained crises. There is an emerging power sharing. Publics now have ready access to the mass media to tell their story from their own perspective and complain vehemently if necessary. The meaning and definition of literacy in the New Information Age may have to be carefully reviewed.

Audience literacy has always been very important in segmenting and understanding a public. Traditionally, description of marketing opportunities in the consumer market is that products were sold face to face and physically in the point of market. But now the marketing opportunities are different in the digital world. There are now much more marketing opportunities in the digital world for the organizations. The organizations have the opportunity to reach through internet to the every person at a very low cost.

Abundant Living System Paid My Rent and Mortage Payments!

by Mentor Sam B

You have asked yourself this question I am sure…. Is it real???

As you have looked at many opportunities online that make all kinds of promises The Abundant Living System is no different. With all the flashy promises of making the seeming easy $2500.00 a week it all seems like alot of hype and builds up to a scam.

As we look at cash gifting we must remember this is about helping people make money to better their lives. It is about trusting a system of marketing to begin generating a cash flow into our lives.

I have taken a very close look into the world of The Abundant Livinging System and I must say I am totally shocked at what I have found out. Although there are hundreds of “make $500 a week” ads and websites out there, theirs seem to be different. I compared it to a few other money making programs online that I’ve made thousands with to see what all the talking about cash gifting was about.

On the outset, sure if you google it you’ll find it has over 500,000 references to it on those search engines. Also in small business magazines in book stores it’s in alot of those ads there as well. But good marketing doesn’t mean that a work from home opportunity is not a a scam or a rip off..so I looked more closely at it.

I also found that on youtube and other video websites there are tens of thousands of videos talking about cash gifting on their own videos. I’m sure you’ve seen them with all the money being counted out from the overnight fed ex packages. I figured they were all fakes and sent the money to themselves and wanted you to send them cash money for nothing. I began digging deeper…..

It started looking like my hunt was over and I had snached the covers off the scam of cash gifting….. then it dawned on me .. why not call on of these people and confront them on the fact that I had all these cash gifting programs to be one big ring of people scamming online business seekers… so I did it!

I called a lady up and we began to talk about the fraud and scheme of this cash activity on the internet and all these fake videos of cash envelopes being opened. And we talked……..and we talked……. I just did not believe her no matter what she said I couldn’t understand how it all worked. Why would someone send me $500 in the mail to join a website, it made no sense to me.

…2 weeks went by and I got a call from a ex co-worker who got fired for having a big shouting match with the manager ( great way to get a raise ) He told me how he lost is car and apartment and had moved into a basement with some neighbors who had the internet. He unfolded his personal story from that to recieving in 1 day $7000.00 cash to his door. Naturally I did not believe him…I mean who would believe that his Abundant Living System could do that.

I think you know what I did after I saw the envelopes, cash and website right….I began doing the exact same thing would be the typical answer here but I kept looking at it. We have to realize that our belief system is either getting us closer or driving us further away from our goals and dreams. My belief system changed…will yours?

Plumbing Technologies through the Ages

by Tal Potishman

Today the average person in the UK is largely unaware of the importance of plumbing technology, normally taking for granted a high pressure shower and a modern flushed toilet. It is rare that someone in the modern world takes the time to learn about the way plumbing technology has advanced or the history of plumbing in general. This history is interesting and offers some surprising outcomes.

It was largely during the centuries when Greeks and the Romans ruled the known world that plumbing systems made their way into urban settings. The Greeks and Romans used plumbing to take clean water to the cities and houses and dirty water away from public bathing houses which was done mostly via a network of aqueducts during the Romans’ rule. In fact, the Roman way of aqueducts and lead piping was considered sufficient until the nineteenth century when underground piping systems took the place of the aqueduct system.

Pipes were constructed mostly from lead during ancient times and aqueducts were pieced together from stone and clay. However, this is no longer the case in modern times. Today, steel, brass, copper and plastic are the most popular building materials for plumbing and piping systems. Lead is no longer used to make pipes because the toxicity of lead is considered to be too high.

It is largely because of the Roman bath houses that western plumbing exists in its current form. When the bath houses were first constructed bathing happened during the daylight hours only because the water in the baths was changed no more than once a day. It is important to remember that the Romans did not know about bacteria or how disease was truly spread. For ancient Romans, a single change of bathwater each day was all they thought was necessary.

Perhaps more important than the public baths and aqueducts, though, is the evolution of the modern toilet. The toilet that is so familiar to the modern western world was first invented around 2800 BC in Mohenjo-Darco and was made from a seat placed upon a pile of bricks. In those times only the highest class of society was allowed to use the toilet. It was not until the middle of the nineteenth century that the western world adopted the sit-down toilet that was popular with the ancient Romans.

Once the western world had adopted the sit down toilets and aqueduct structures of the Roman Empire, the plumbing technology surrounding them expanded very quickly. Within one hundred years, plumbing technology and toilets have gone from the aqueducts of the Roman Empire to the modern efficiencies that most citizens in the United Kingdom take for granted these days.

Today pipes and plumbing fixtures are mostly located underground and the sewage drains and cesspools of ancient times have been almost completely eradicated and replaced. As technology continues to advance, the cleanliness and efficiency of plumbing and toilets will become more efficient and clean.

Career Management Planning and Outplacement

by Mary Bush

Years ago it was the norm to get a job at 18 or so and remain with the same company until retirement. Times have changed since then and with today’s technology and ever changing environment, this is no longer the case. Matching up jobs and people can be an extremely difficult task and in any work situation there are people who are misemployed whereby their jobs don’t make use of their talents and skills, and those who hold jobs they are no longer qualified to do due to reasons such as new technology. When an organization needs to restructure it has to deal with these people, either by finding them alternative positions within the company, retraining them to fit an existing position or make redundancies.

When it comes down to termination, redundancy, downsizing or outplacement, whatever you want to call it, it is extremely important that it is dealt with using tact, sensitivity and especially understanding. The effects, on such individual, of a job loss, will be of huge impact as all of a sudden life has to be looked at and planned without the habituate such as a regular paycheck, health insurance, company car, overtime and other benefits. Although the financial/material effects are a big factor to deal with, there are more important effects such as psychological factors to be taken into consideration, like stress, self confidence and the worry of their place in society. Companies also need to be concerned about the other employees not facing the same thing as they might feel guilty, fear for the foreseeable future and de-motivated.

Our work often gives us our sense of personal identity, providing us with self-respect and social status. When meeting someone for the first time, one of the most common questions asked is ‘what do you do’? Although we like to complain about our jobs, generally work is seen as a positive thing and if we didn’t have work to occupy us our lives would lose a lot of its meaning. Some view work as their main supply of satisfaction in life, finding it a deeply rewarding experience and crucial for a successful society.

In order to keep up with competition and survive in the ruthless world we live in every company has to restructure at times. There are going to be decisions that some individuals will not like, but if you can make these people see that the company supports their staff through transition programs, it will reassure them and give a sense of security.

A career change can be scary and if you have had no choice or thought in the decision this can make it even harder. Sometimes though, we all need a little push to get us motivated in deciding on a new direction, a new job or a new career that will offer stimulation and challenge. If you do find yourself in this position then career management and outplacement consultants can maximize your chances of finding a suitable and exciting career, involving planning, preparing and even retraining and acquiring new skills.

With cut backs, redundancies and other economizing causes affecting both public and private areas, outplacement consulting has gone from being dealt with by the human resources department into a specialist profession. Redeployment specialists work with organizations that are facing change either through closure, restructure or integration and help them decide on the best methods of dealing with their staff. There are a number of services available to the employees facing redundancy and also to the staff not affected by the redundancy as the change to the environment will affect everyone.

For organizations or individuals, career management and outplacement specialists can offer a wealth of experience in a range of business environments. Qualified to support a diverse variety of needs they are the perfect place to consult if your organization is facing change.

Barriers to Broadband Britain

by Mary Bush

Following the announcement of a new Government review of the UK’s broadband needs, Geo has said it believes the key inhibitor to broadband development remains the ‘middle mile’ – the network that runs from the local exchanges to the core. It has called for a renewed focus on relieving this bottleneck.

The Government claims its new review will look into where barriers to broadband growth lie, and says high-speed broadband services are more important than ever to the UK’s future economic success.

It says change is needed before so-called ‘Broadband Britain’ turns from fantasy into reality, and wants to ‘prepare the way for the UK to adopt groundbreaking new technologies to ensure that we do not get left behind competitively or technologically’.

The review is being led by Lehman Brothers’ Francesco Caio, former chief executive of Cable & Wireless, and the results will be handed to the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR), as well as the Chancellor of the Exchequer, in Autumn 2008.

In addition to this latest review, the Government has called on the Broadband Stakeholder Group (BSG) to consider the economics surrounding the deployment of fibre. The BSG published its Pipe Dreams report last April outlining key areas for broadband action.

Geo National Sales Director Annette Murphy stresses that the principal block on broadband development is not the well-publicised issue of local access to homes and businesses, nor the core networks that aggregate traffic between major population centres, but the ‘middle mile’ network that runs from local exchanges to the core.

She says that with its relationships with Carphone Warehouse Networks and Tiscali, Geo is playing a key role in bridging this middle mile challenge.

“There are longer term issues to be solved also, with the copper network that connects into homes and businesses,” she says. “It needs to be replaced over time with fibre, as other countries such as France and South Korea are doing right now, but this is part of an evolutionary process which will include several stages of overlaying the copper assets.”

Murphy says this process of improving local access will take time, and will have to allow those delivering services over existing networks to maximise their investment in the copper loops.

“However, these upgrades will be useless unless the high costs and limited products of the middle mile are also addressed,” she believes. “For many of our customers this is the highest part of their cost base, and is an issue we can help them solve by using our fibre network to bridge the gap between their core networks and BT Openreach’s access network.”

She says Geo is helping customers take advantage of today’s facilities-based local loops offered by BT Openreach, picking up huge quantities of data traffic and transferring it over high speed fibre networks to the terminal points ” whether the public internet, telehouses or data centres, or other networks – at the lowest possible unit cost.

“The Government needs to be sure it understands the immediate issues before it jumps to the conclusion that the country needs optical fibre built to the home right now. The first problem to fix is the cost and availability of fibre between local exchanges and core networks,” she adds. “It’s a question of being able to walk before you can run.

How To Buy Your First LCD Flat Screen TV?

by katie George

Are you ready to buy that first LCD flat screen TV? LCD flat screen TVs are becoming more and more popular and they have recently had big price drops. If you are in the market for a new flat screen TV, then you have many choices.

One of the most exciting consumer electronics products to hit the market in the last 10 years was the plasma flat screen. Now however, LCD flat screen TV’s are catching on and their price has dropped. Plasma screens use more electricity and are heavier which makes wall mounting more difficult. Another drawback with plasma is that the screens are more easily scratched. When Plasma flat screen TV’s were first produced, their life expectancy was around 20,000 hours but now with the newer generations of plasma screens, their life span is closer to 50-60,000 hours.

Advantages of a LCD flat screen TV are that it is not susceptible to burn-in and usually is less expensive than plasma televisions. Because of the nature of LCD technology, there is no radiation emitted from the screen. It is also lighter weight than the plasma counterpart and thus easier to hang.

Plasma screens, in general, handle faster moving images better than LCD’s. Plasma and LCD screens may look similar, but that is really where their similarities end. Some LCD do not have the level of color accuracy as plasma displays. Historically plasma screens had better viewing angles than LCD. You would tend to see color variations with side viewing of the LCD’s, while the Plasma screen colors remained more solid.

Prices vary from company to company, so it is smart to shop around. There are many makes, models, sizes and prices associated with the LCD flat display. The prices of the TVs will vary, depending on the size, manufacturer, model and merchant. The name brands are going to be substantially more expensive than the non name brands.

Once you get that LCD flat screen TV up on your wall, you will surely have no buyer’s remorse. They are totally cool and in no time your entire family will be enjoying movies and games in crisp, vivid, full HD splendor on your LCD flat screen TV and will have forgotten they ever had another kind.
