GPS locating systems are really for your own good and protection. Suppose you were on a hiking trip, you did have your cell phone with you, but the GPS system had never been activated; all of a sudden, you have an accident, and you need someone’s help. If you had have activated your GPS system, all you would have to do is call 911, tell them what happened and they could track your location through your GPS signal.
