Throughout the world, there are more and more dangers every day. In some areas, there has been a sizable increase in the number of home invasions, violent personal attacks, burglaries, and robberies. Law enforcement officials can only do so much. In fact, numerous municipalities are understaffed in their police departments. Nevertheless, there are means for achieving an increased measure of protection for your loved ones, your home and your possessions, and for assisting the police in identifying the culprits.

There are few things more frustrating than going out to your car in the morning, finding the door open and your car stereo gone. Or perhaps it is something as simple as the CDs in the console, the change in the ashtray, or the ice-scraper in the glovebox. The last thing you feel like doing is calling the police over something so small. So how do you stop these ‘wannabee’ robbers before they move on to bigger things like stealing your entire car? Because, let’s face it; it’s just flat-out annoying! Once they know they can do it once, chances are they’ll be back for more at a later time.

As technology improved, camera size and price tag got smaller and more and more systems made their way into homes. Vulnerable areas can be monitored from practically anywhere with closed circuit TV (CCTV), protecting your home from theft and other threats that go bump in the night.

The investment property with water views has just been purchased and then you are dealt a shocking blow. The latest credit card statement comes in the mail and it claims that you have made thousands of dollars worth of purchases. The trouble is that you don’t remember making them. You check with your wife and she confirms the worst – she hasn’t purchased a new HDTV as a surprise for you! You have become a victim of an identity thief – they are the ones who have spent your credit.

Have you ever thought you received counterfeit money? Perhaps you have received it before and you weren’t sure who to contact. If that has ever happened to you or you are afraid of it happening to you, you can now rest assured that you’ll know what to do if it does. Counterfeiting money is such a problem that currency seems to be constantly changing to deter counterfeiters. However, it seems that counterfeiters find out a way to duplicate currency soon after new ‘counterfeit proof’ methods are developed. Just because a new look comes out doesn’t mean it is impossible to receive a counterfeit bill.
