COM Express is a computer on module (COM) that can be used in the same manner as integrated circuits. Each module has its own integrated memory and core CPU functionality, as well as Ethernet, audio, graphics, USB and PC/ST. There are a pair of low profile, high density connectors on the module’s bottom side that map all I/O signals. Many of today’s most innovative embedded applications can benefit from compact form factors. Older methods of providing these (AGP and PCI-X), can’t satisfy top end applications. Those vary from advertising terminals, retail POS, and industrial automation to gaming, medical imaging and more.

You surely heard of the term “toner”. But what is this toner? Well, basically, toner is a powder used by laser printers to print everything on paper. The old, rudimentary, toner was just carbon powder. Recently, that same carbon powder has a polymer added to increase the print quality. Although this polymer is different from one manufacturer to another, the basic polymers used are Styrene Acrylate Copolymer and Polyester Resin. Now that we know what toner is, we ask ourselves, how do laser printers really work? The basic process is simple (although there are many things to consider) – the toner particles are melted by the printer’s fuser (generating heat), making them stick to the paper. Toner formulations vary from manufacturer to manufacturer (and even from one printer to another). There are a lot of toner recipes and each major manufacturer uses a different one

When is the best time to use my nitrous system?
When you see blue lights flashing behind you (joking), or you want to go fast, or do an unbelievable smoke show.Answer: The e-Ram is a distant cousin of the full blown turbo or supercharging system which employs a centrifugal impeller that must run all the time. They have to produce matched engine airflow, with high-pressure air compression (4 to 15 PSI is normal). This requires a tremendous amount of HP to drive the device.

Single-board computers were once considered “dyna-micro” based on the Intel C8080A processor and Intel’s first EPROM (Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) chip. This revolutionary chip was designed to retain its data when the power was switched off. Rebranded by E&L Instruments in 1976, the EPROM became known as the BugBook 8080 micro-computer.

A CompactPCI (cPCI) system is a 3U or 6U (“U” is a unit of measurement of the height of a rack-mounted device, with one rack unit, or RU, equaling 1.75″) Eurocard-based industrial computer which has all of its boards joined by way of a passive PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect) backplane. The pin assignments of the connectors are documented in standards, published by the organization PICMG U.S. and PICMG Europe (PICMG means “PCI Industrial Computers Manufacturers Group”).
